Sir i have a doubt, while drawing the development of cylinder,we take the length of the circumference and height and draw like a rectangle After that how should we bisect into 8 parts 1. By dividing the circumference into 8 parts , taking that length and cutting directly the length ( circumference) into 8 parts using compass (sometimes measure will be 10.4/15.6 mm which cannot be measured accurately in scale) 2. Bisecting the rectangle into 2 half using compass then into 2 and then into 2 3 . drawing a straight line 45° to the length (circumference) cutting that line into equal parts of 8 (1cm /2cm) then connecting the end to end of the rectangle end ,and then connecting the lines one by one to the rectangle parallel to the end line 4 . similar to 3 ,the 45° line measuring should be equal to circumference then cutting the line into 8 equal parts using compass, connecting the end of the line to the end of the rectangle then joining the line to the rectangle parallel to the end line Which is correct sir ,every method gives some variation, which is correct

Actually it done with trial and error.. Like measure and cut untill we divide into equal number of parts
