So I can't get this to work. I changed OnTakeDamage to onTakeAnyDamage as that returns void while the other returns a float and still nothing. My character is a Pawn not a character not sure if rat makes a difference.

Just practice and plenty of trial and error. The engine might look a little monstrous but just tackle aspect at a time and it all comes together.

I guess the correct answer is yes, on a technical level. Whether you'd notice any impact though is another thing. And the development cost is always worth considering.

Thank you for this. I appreciate getting to stand on the shoulder of a giant. I am compelled to point out though, you put some of your nodes outside of the function at the end for update health. Is that really the most efficient way? It feels like if all the required parts were inside the function it would make the event graph tidier, because you would only need to call the update in one node. Love your work, Cheers.

Great Video! How would you go about assigning multiple characters to different progress bars in one widget? I am having trouble getting their references for the widget and the only thing I can think of is spawning the characters in game mode and storing their references to a pointer.
