Deventer is a city in the Salland historical region of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. Deventer has a population of around 100,913. The city is largely situated on the east bank of the river IJssel, but it also has a small part of its territory on the west bank.
Deventer is a clean and beautiful city. It is full of authentic Dutch character and if you're looking for a place that has deep history, beautiful cobblestone streets, ancient cathedrals, fresh dutch markets, and a population that is almost entire native Dutch, you must visit this city.

Heel mooi. Ik wil graag in de zomer naar Nederland rijden. Ik ben dan in Duitsland. Ik heb gedacht twee dagen in Groningen maar Deventer is misschien ook een alternatief.
