I have a phantom gold, and all I can say it, test iz indoor. Its soundquality is insane especially how clear you can hear every sound. You should test better music quality, you would be impressed how good the phantom actually can sound. Its a experience you need to hear yourself and not via compressed youtube quality

I would say that the phantom is way overly priced for what’s it’s worth. With high watts, SPL, and DB I expected more much. Overall the sound quality sounds nice and clear but that price doesn’t seem right.

It is so clear that for sound alone JBL PB1000 has the lead , I mean the camera is shaking when it produces bass. Devialet Phantom Gold on the other hand sounds incredible for its size. This comparison is interesting and kinda weird at the same time, since one speaker is meant for parties and the other one is more for critical listening. Anyhow, great comoparison this was !

The fact that the camera shakes means nothing. The Devialet is using dual opposed woofers which cancels out vibrations. Which means that you can get just as loud as other speakers without the vibrations. The bass also sounds a lot clearer because it cancels out vibrations in the speaker cabinet. The boombox 1000 also can't play below 30hz which is pretty terrible for a speaker in this price range and of this size. The bass is loud but not "deep". It is just the same as many Cerwin Vega subwoofers, some of the large ones only reach 40hz but they are incredibly loud.

@@NickFje Well I can tell you that the subwoofer is still moving even below 20 hz (jbl 1000). And the statement about dual opposed woofers is somewhat true, although the soundwaves also cancel out, this results in deadzones. And yes the fact that the camera shakes means absolutly everything, it goes to show how loud it can play in comparison to the phantom. Yes the phantom sounds great in clarity, but so does the JBL 1000 just even louder and doesnt distort like the phantom. The reason you cant really hear the sound clarity of the jbl 1000 is because the microphone recording the audio is litterally drowning in bass which disturbs the high tones of the jbl 1000 audio compressor.

Jbl holds more bass at higher volumes and can manage that subwoofer sound even outdoors at 100% which is impressive, Devialet is very close which is even more amazing. Sound quality is quite similar imo with devialet sounding less boosted in the treable and a bit boxy in the mids...

Devialet Gold es muchísimo mejor que JBL PartyBox. Devialet Gold es un altavoz audiófilo, con tweeter de titaneo y muchísima más tecnología. Devialet tiene ruido y distorsión 0%. Yo he oído los dos. El JBL hace bastante ruido, sus medios son indiferenciables de los graves y estos últimos distorsionan un poco. En cuanto a los agudos, agudos poco refinados. JBL se oye mejor que el clásico altavoz de discoteca, pero es un altavoz normal. Devialet Gold es un altavoz audófilo.

Solo tienes que mirar que quien baraja la compra de uno de estos equipos tan caros también tiene en cuanta a Devialet Gold. Marcas como Bose, Sonos, Samsung, etc., con marcas generalistas. Excepto los equipos profesionales de JBL, eso ya es otra historia. Muchos técnicos de sonido y audiófilos de años hablan de Devialet Gold como altavoz audiófilo ultracompacto, eso no se pone en duda.
