Seeing this years later made me really miss this era of KZbin. I loved watching little animations like this and a ton of people used to make them. I still think the victor is completely fair too. Sonic.EXE has never really ‘fought’ anyone. At least to my memory. To me he honestly felt like a horror furry version of Homelander. (Which, to be fair can be applied to a lot of other horror related characters too) he’s just an incredibly powerful entity in a world where everything around him is far weaker. He’s never needed to push himself since in canon he can just manipulate the code of that person to his will. Devil Mario on the other hand, IS a fighter, and a brutally effective one at that. Put Sonic.EXE in a situation where he actually HAS to fight will get him killed most of the time since he’s so used to just toying with people. At least that’s how I see it. Feel inclined to call this a hot take honestly.

Sonic Exe's main strategy in fights was to spam illusions and fake-outs until his victims were tired and then take advantage of an opening, but he couldn't pull that off with Devil Mario because the possessed plumber had literally none. Plus, Sonic EXE wasn't as intelligent or as combat experienced to compensate. Devil Mario was also strong enough to take on an entire kingdom and slaughter an entire army of highly trained warriors without breaking a sweat while Sonic Exe only attacks innocent bystanders.

That was beautifully done. The fighting style, while not as gifted with special effects as power star was exciting! Faster paced than the original, it contends well as a parody! A real step up in a way! And I loved the focus on Martial Arts, using the environment around you to impact and corner your opponent. When a punch is lacking, a brick off the ground will hit more than hard enough! A sword in the foot or a ledge to trip them over will disorient them! Anything and everything is a weapon or advantage for a mind fit to use them! Truly an epic and brutal fight to the death. The music wasn't bad either! Take my like and sub! I hope you get better and work on cinematic/special effects! AND THEN SHOW ME, ONE LAST TIME!

A literal devil with an approximation of hundreds upon thousands of souls worth of combat experience in its being, against a demon whose speciality is possession of a speedy animal with 20 years of world-saving experience, mass murder of a planet of freedom fighters, conquest seeking monsters(The Zeti, for example.), and, oddly enough, innocent civilians of a cushy, layback lifestyle. Not an easy choice. But I'm glad you went with someone who isn't based on a Creepypasta that RUINED MY CHILDHOOD. I'ma try and settle this for some people. And just so yall don't think I'm choosing sides, I honestly wanted sonic.exe to win, but understood why d.Mario won. A:Sonic.exe (main theory) is a battered possessed sonic. He has already faced all Sonic's adventures to this point, and is weak. And d.mario isn't the normal-only-superpower(without powerups)-mario. This is a Mario with literal demon powers. While he also was slightly battered, it wasn't as much as Sonic's, as Sonic's only way to not die was by shields, or famously, rings. B: sonic.exe depends on mind tricks to kill his victims. He has a lot less experience with one-on-one combat. Mario, or D.Mario, has more. And besides, while he is faster, sonic.exe is not capable of winning by speed alone. He had to attack sometime, as mind tricks don't work on another demon. I hoped this helped. (Like/pin so others can see.)

Not to mention he’s got comparable speed and outclasses Sonic Exe’s combat skills and experience. He also has multiple souls (aka boos) so it’s not all that easy for exe to take all what, 150 souls before getting to Mario’s? Let’s face it. Sonic’s possessed by one stronger demon and Mario’s possessed by dozens, if not, hundreds of intelligent boos, leaving sonic Exe to be souled out of energy in the end.

@@Bed_side Sonic barely pushed the speed of sound, Sonic.Exe isn't even using his body. Smash Mario destroys Sonic with little effort while Sonic has to use blinding speeds just to do little damage. Devil Mario would use Sonic's own speed to break his bones and snaps limbs off with some precision grapples and holds.
