I love it that it was my first Devil May Cry experience so I never thought it was bad. I liked the atmosphere, battle system and boss fights, although not the nonexistent story or Dante. It holds a special place in my heart.

DMC 2 also has codes to unlock the extras of Dante/Lucia Must Die modes which also unlocks use of infinite DT for all 3 characters, use it with Trish and congratulations, you snapped the difficulty in half

Final Fantasy 8 and 12 are missteps???

At the time of their release, the fan base hated them for being different. But as the new releases happened and more different things happened the online communities just moved that criticisms into the newer titles. Like, 8 was criticized back in the day for the junction system being too complicated. They hated 12 for the characters among other things. They hated 13 for linearity and those older ones became more liked when newer titles came out and they moved that criticism. I remember when 8 was considered the black sheep of the series even though now it’s very loved.

I found DMC 2 pretty easy, I never beat the first game and I realise I’m properly in the minority that likes devil may cry 2 it wasn’t a bad game, but yeah, I definitely felt that it lacked something from the first game, but I definitely feel that the third game in the series was the best game in the series.
