It's so interesting to see people talking about their story with trauma and how DMC music and DMC got them through. Ultimately the story of DMC is about trauma and how the brothers are handling their past and moving forward.

A long time ago I got into a fight with my mom and left, moved in with a friend. There I was surrounded by drugs, alcohol and I was totally lost at this point, my life was totally fucked up. Around this time DMC3 was announced and on their website was this gem. I remember listening to it over and over, one of the few things at the time that ever gave me peace of mind. It's one of the most beautiful tracks I've heard and to think it came from Devil May Cry..

Here's my trauma: Ever since I was born, my parents mentally abused me almost everyday, even if they didn't want to hurt me, they fought and shouted at each other, sometimes even broke windows, plates and other items. For 18 years I somehow got through this period without depression, this theme is my favorite of all time because it really shows my childhood pain in an audio format.

No sad backstories here. There was a flash game.. A 2D one where you attacked lots of characters in a single screen. The game was only that, only one screen and you're destroying enemies and enemies while this Intro loop plays as the soundtrack(may not even be this, but definitely sounds like it). I don't remember the name of the game... Wish someone did.

i'm not sure what the name is of this genre, but if u want to hear more like this i suggest checking out Faure's requiem and Mozart's requiem. mozart is more bombastic and energetic generally than faure's, but both are good places to start getting into this type of thing. also check out the original gregorian chant of the dies irae. i hope you find something you like!

5 years ago, I went to a church, and one of the lines the father said that God will provide food for the hungry. What's worse is that a homeless man that used to live in our neighborhood for a year just died of starvation before that day. Never do I know that would be my last Sunday, no.... last day at a church.
@sozoinks31185 ай бұрын
I think you may have misinterpreted the line “God will provide food for the hungry”. From what I understand, in the (Catholic) Bible God states that humans were created as free reigned creatures to do as they please without divine intervention. So that line probably means that God only created our food supply but it is our own duty to utilize it. It’s up to us if we help others in need, not God’s direct responsibility.
