I didn't find any websites that would have my extended version available, only website-converters which is a bad idea because you will never get a maximum quality of the track by converting it from youtube to mp3. You do understand that this song is about Dante, cause he kinda "lost" his memories in DMC3 (it wasn't that perfectly clear if he just wanted to forget all of that or really lost them, but still) and came to see Virgil just for fun. And about the ending of DMC5 I dunno, it was so hamfisted and the whole theme of "never ending cycle of hate" doesn't make any sense, because Dante and Vergil fought like two times and those times weren't just for the sake of hate (DMC1 Vergil was mind controlled and delusioned, and DMC3 those fights clearly wasn't just for the sake of hate) Sorry to drop all that to a simple comment, but I hated what they did to the characters and a plot in DMC5, dunno why everyone forgot all the deepness (well uh, that's a strong word Ikr) of previous games.

@@FreemanBBFQ I don't think they did It was more about resolving Dante and Vergil to move onto Nero. Dante and Vergil very much had unresolved business when it came to family matters; V was such an important character to Vergil's development in this regard as it was in a lot of ways how he was able to reclaim his humanity and his connection to his family. This becomes even more symbolic as V still exists as a part of Vergil's moveset, and all of the torment in the memories that V's familiars are born from. OP to this thread I think really misses the point that the lyrics are for more in reflection to Dante's original goal in starting a devil hunting business to begin with; to find and kill Mundus who killed his mother. As this was accomplished pretty early on in the timeline, the character development would go on to more focus on the other thread left in DMC1; Vergil. It's all still very much about family, and DMC5 ending like it did where things seemed like they were resolved rather quickly I think reflects a lot more on how Vergil just needed to resolve his own trauma; how he was so quick as to just go and team up with Dante to take care of the miss that was started when he split himself into two. Arguably, the whole idea that Vergil even split himself into two in the first place is a really deep cut as it physically manifests what was likely his own inner conflict. V, in a much more subtle way, representing how it is that Vergil wanted to connect to his remaining family more. Urizen is... on the nose with how much he shows Vergil's desire for power and how overtime it became much more to get power for power's sake than it was to protect anyone; mostly himself. If you were talking about Lady and Trish... yeah... they were just sort of... there. A little more could've been done with both of them. What we got was very little. Subtle, and it's there, but hardly much of anything that really develops Vergil or Nero

"From the angst of Lost Memories" - Dante more literally suppressed his memories of Eva's death and his own identity while he went under the alias of Tony Redgrave. "A just revenge to cure misery" - After 'awakening' (I will not spoil how; you should experience it), he goes on to become an avenger and true Devil Hunter. This song perfectly defines Dante's character underneath his snark. He's perpetually seething with 'Divine Hate' toward the demons who ripped his family apart.

I'm in the second Vergil fight and he's kicking my ass. I've lost count of how many times I've lost and yet I'm not pissed at all. I'm just excited because DMC was designed so masterfully that it's entirely your fault when you lose.
