Devil May Cry 3 in Under 1 Hour | Dante New Game Normal Speedrun World Record

This is the Speedrun that means the most to me, never have i had so much emotional connection to a game. Devil May Cry 3 is my favorite game of all time, it was extremely influential both in my childhood and my adult life, thank you to capcom and itsuno for making such a masterpiece. In this video i pour my soul out into my craft and complete the game in under 1 hour, on a new save file, and without super costume on the normal difficulty. This run is the culmination of all the blood sweat and tears of the community for this game since its launch, i cant thank you all enough for everything.

​@@RikiJasmin basically there's 3 phases to this fight, first vergil is not using his DT, once he gets to around 70% of HP he goes Devil Trigger and the fight becomes a lot harder, after that around 40% HP he goes at the middle of that circle and makes those purple things. During the speedrun, he intended to lower his HP at the First phase to about 40%, so vergil would not Go DT, making It a lot easier this way, but waifu wasn't able to do that and still beat vergil against his DT.

fun fact: the Neo Generator in Mission 10 is the heart/core of all the Guardian General characters including Asura in Asura's Wrath, I flipped the first time I found that out seeing how Capcom likes to tie their games together, so Dante would have been holding some futuristic technology

Not sure if this has ever been documented but there's a skip in M9 for the Nevan fight, main problem is replicating it but SOMETIMES I can get a shot in at her in the split second before her shield is up and the healthbar starts to fill - I think by landing that single hit before she technically has any health, it becomes an instant kill and skips straight to the next cutscene. Hard to confirm the precise mechanics though cause the timing on it is fucking insane and might just be pure luck. Would shave a lot of time off future runs if anyone were to incorporate this.

it's easy you need to make the enemy stay on a platform in front of you that has a hole between you and the enemy in case the own path then you make the enemy attack you or you do the realese in the direction of the attack. I managed to do it in mission 9 there, it's easier to practice, I got it the first time, I've been playing for a few years but I'm learning advanced tactics to finish the missions faster, I play royalguard well too
