I also recommend tomato anus for a very monotone yet sarcastic funny as hell commentary. You'd have to watch one of his vids to see what I mean but he has his own runs. Funny themed ones like fallout sex% which is just fastest time to get laid. And even vids if him doing his funny style of commentary over other speedrun need runs explaining them. Him and waifu are my favorite .

I feel bad for the guy who thinks running DMD makes him better than normal runners: the whole point of higher difficulties is to give yourself the challenge, not anybody else. Just because someone runs normal, does not mean that they're worse, it just means that they're not running a higher difficulty. Speedrunning as is, is already difficult in some games, some people just don't want to deal with the added RNG or stress.

The reason is simple, it takes more effort, specially in particularly hard games like DMC games, and you get less recognition, and its even more important knowing speedruns are made in a profesional matter, thus less recognition means less money and less professional oportunities.

This is an extremely entertaining video, I honestly live for learning about both speedrun routes and the way games work in general, and your commentary on these subjects are always fun to listen to. However I will say that some of your videos, such as this one do have a small issue with audio mixing, as you occasionally talk over yourself in the stream recording and characters in game talking, overlapping conversations can be rather difficult to understand, so either greatly lowering the game audio or muting it completely when post commentary is playing it would be greatly appreciated!

Small improvements to be made in the future just from watching are agni and rudra can be hit locked by spamming spiral swords and lunar phase causing the sword clash animation. Also you can trick up on the vanguard when it's doing it's vertical attack to get some extra damage. Lusts/sloths can get launched with force edge helm splitter into stinger then ht then starfall jc span. Lethathan boss fight: heart on the right near the top has an invisible ledge you can reset the yamato rave and stay safe. With Nevan instead of doing starfall into the spin attack you can judgement cut her bat defense down more consistently. You can kill souleaters a little quicker by getting close un targeting, then around then do a small jump aerial rave. On mission 19 during the arkham fight you could try the circle running strat, dt explosion and maybe rapid slash to clear them out quicker with out getting hit. Mission 20: vantes spiril swords can be taken put with your own targeting swords early in his animation. Forget the name but it's forward summoning swords. Great run btw.

Now I am not gonaa say Normal speedrun is lesser than the DMD speedrun, but you have to admit that from the spectacle perspective, DMD runs are more enjoyable (at the expense of speed runner's hands of course). I wasn’t good at performing the jump cancel attacks, so I went for uppercuts and follow up with a charged Beowulf punch (executed in DT for power) while the enemy struggle to get back up. While charging my Beowulf punch I can usually activate spiral swords for additional damage/defense, often resulting in stun locking enemies already on their faces and asses. Charge/release an entire DT gauge explosion when you throw the punch for massive damage.

I don't think it is cool when the game is so difficult that most player have to rely on un-intended mechanics (JC in DMC 3) and heavy repetition (Starfall JC) to complete it. DMC 4 DMD feels very good. DMC 5 DMD feels tedious.

Some tips I can give are this: you should learn how to effectively use the options available and learn which options are safe to use and which ones might get you hit. You should mostly avoid using moves with slower start-up or have a lot of end-lag especially when enemies are nearby. Try to learn enemy patterns and which ones should be prioritized. You should also give enemies as little of a chance to go into DT as much as possible, and learn what the most efficient and/or optimal DT usage is depending on the situation. And of course, practice should help immensely.

The camera in this game is absolute cancer. The fact they didn't add a camera sensitivity option is insane, and the camera is also mirrored on the horizontal axis. It's so dumb.
