Or the one where Nero catches Vergil mid-flight and brainbuster suplexes him into the floor. "You will accept my existence!" I absolutely love that a decent amount of Nero's Busters are straight-up wrestling moves.

I think I mentioned it around the time you wrapped up 5, but I think it would be cool to check out some of the "combo mad," videos for various devil may cry games. The actual amount of things that you can do in these games are insane, and I'd love to see your reaction to what it's upper limits look like.

In DMC 4 there is not just one buster for bosses, for example Belial have land buster and air buster and you can chain them air > land. And some attacks can be parried with buster, like lizzard mens air spin attack, corrupted armors magic ball or spears of Credo.

Fun fact: you can deal more damage with these busters, if you mash buster button or rev button if Nero revs his sword during buster.

True. It’s also true that in DMC5 that Nero’s Devil Breaker Buster Arm Deals More Damage!

I'd suggest looking at all of V's execution animations too! A lot of them are actually pretty cool, but easily missed.

Im so happy he cut his hair in 5 With long hair he looked like Diet-Dante Now in 5 he is completely his own character, nota copy of his uncle or a weaker version of his father but entirely independent of both their styles

Even so. I still got a sense of that in DMC4 since they were making him distinct. The thing about Nero was the fact he lacked her own Variety of Weapon Type. DMC5 solved that issue with his Prosthetic Devil Breakers! I am so Happy about that 😄

Nero Devil Bringer is so cool cause you grab enemies and just disrespect them and it shows Nero's strength and how brutal he can go.

In my personal opinion, I believe Nero was much better in 4 compared to 5. I love Nero in DMC5 as well don't get me wrong, but I just like him better in 4.

I agree To add I like his character design in 4 more than 5, he looked cooler imo.

How so? Personality wise? Or design wise? I personally love is development in 5, and the short hair fits his more delinquent personality compared to the longer locks. It also serves to differentiate his from his uncle and father, while still paying homage to them (ala Vergil’s slicked back hair). His outfit is also more practical given his occupation as a demon hunter, as you wouldn’t wish to wear excessive amounts of clothing in which demons could grab and pull you from. Not to mention is again - references his family, with his overcoat resembling Dante’s first in DMC 3 (timeline wise) - exposing his undershirt whilst also having his fathers colors. It feels like he’s come into acceptance of his demonic heritage in 5. His characterization improvements also help, as 4 is infamous for being a “Save Kyrie” simulator, which served as his primary motivation throughout the game - unlike 5 where he’s attempting to better understand his need for power and desire for family. But how about you, what are your sentiments to DMC 4 Nero vs DMC 5?

To me his dmc5 appearance is a little bland but at the same time he has more game mechanics

If you’ve played but didn’t explore. Nero’s Devil Breaker BUSTER ARM is the Stronger Version of his Buster Attacks! There are Solid KZbin videos that Have pointed this out that Most of Nero’s Strenghs comes from How You Use his Devil Breakers.

I like that his design has a healthy mix of red and blue. Not just becuase hes got Dante's silly nature and Vergils desire for power, but because in DMC5 the majority of bright outfits colours are gone.

I see a couple of Nero's Buster animations missing from Devil May Cry 4: There is a separate one for Berial if the Buster is done in the air, the Buster for Blitz and there's also a Buster that you can use to counter Sanctus Diabolica's Sparda Charge. Also Sanctus' Buster in the first phase(the pope guy before he goes full demonic) has different voice lines for the same animation one of my favorite being Nero screaming:"YOU ARE THE DEMON. NOT ME!"

There's also the multi-slam for DT bustering a scarecrow, the busters for the MegaScarecrow, the buster for the Assaults, the alternate buster for grabbing Bael's tail instead of his tongue, and the buster for the demon dogs (Basilisks, if I remember correctly). Also, my personal favorite line from the first Sanctus fight was "I'm not interested in your bullshit." Also, also, bustering Sanctus Diabolica when he's at near empty health with have Nero yell, "JACKPOT!", with a three camera take on the hit.

I played DMC 3,1 and 4 but I like Nero's looks in DMC 5...but i loved his DMC 4 moveset better....

Nero maybe 1/4 demon compared to his father and uncle, but he is just as powerful as them. However, there is a reason Dante and Virgil are the two characters people think of when it comes to Devil May Cry and why every other character is scaled to them as far as power is concerned.
