Devil May Cry 4’s Platinum DESTROYED ME…

Just saw that someone ‘clipped’ my video with the title, “IT’S FAKE” so I assume it’s about the trophy pops. Basically I don’t have a capture card so I use the built-in PS5 recording and take screenshots of the trophies as they pop which I then overlay on the video around where they popped so yeah just thought I should clear that up 😁

Honestly I had more fun with DMC2 than DMC4. DMC4 always felt like a chore to play.

Dmc3 plat was the most fun plat I've done honestly. Dmc4 seems impossible for me. I'm stuck at secret mission 8 bc I don't know how to play Dante 😭

I got the platinum for DMC4SE before too. For those S rank missions on SoS, LDK, and DMD, I found it easier to do as Vergil. Having to do the Bloody Palace as Trish was sooo hard, especially dealing with Blitz demons...

fyi theres a real easy way to do secret mission 7 i think it is? (the one you struggled with at 2:15). you can replay this mission as dante later in the game, use his pandoras box and turn the weapon into the floating missile mode and you can just float right across! with enough charge of course.

Funny tho that I seem like the only guy who got all the S Ranks with Nero and Dante before finding out that trish and Lady were easier xD but ut prepared me well for DMC5! Good job on the Plat! Dmc 3 and 4 have some of the most frustrating enemy design I’ve ever dealt with. Fun games, but they really deter me from wanting to play them when I know I’ll have to fight the fallen, the shield enemies, enigmas, chimaeras, the things that pop up on the floor and reset your progress, the savior, and that’s just off the top of my head

I have the good old 360 version and am missing one achievement which I will never get: All S ranks on DMD mode. No idea how i managed to do all the others 13 years ago but I sure as hell couldn't now in my fourties when I dusted off the old 360 to finish up a couple of uncompleted games. Also no trish in the original version so no chance in hell of making it easier with her.

@bababz.emmanuel2942 Lady took me a couple because I died because I got too cocky but with Lady just use her fully charged pistol shots while circling around the arena and facing away from the enemies as it stops them from attacking for some reason and for Trish you can throw her sword and then if you do forward + R1 + Triangle you do a really good move and same for Back + R1 + Triangle whilst her sword is thrown out

I did all the platinums last summer and ended with dmc4, it was honestly way easier than i expected. The S ranks are super brute-forceable due to the very lenient time restrictions. The only part of the game i had a genuine struggle with was Trish bloody palace, but when i did beat it as her, i was lucky enough to get the no damage with it. Did you buy the nero/dante/vergil super costumes before this run or did you grind through dmd with them to unlock them? also i'd love to see you do dmc5, that one is the hardest in my opinion, but the most rewarding platinum :)

I’ll be honest, I was getting pretty sick of DMC 4 and the super costumes were on sale for like £1 so I just took that shortcut because at the end of the day I wasn’t really enjoying it anymore and would not have been able to put myself through those extra playthroughs considering this took a month to get anyway. Can’t wait to do DMC 5 after DmC: Devil May Cry though 💯

I’m not entirely sure, I think you’ll get the trophies for completing the game on those difficulties but it will be next to impossible for you to get the s-ranks due to the score penalty you receive for using super costumes

With Lady I basically only used level 3 charge shot pistols whilst circling the arena and most importantly facing away from the enemies as for some reason this heavily reduces their aggro. For Trish your best friend is round trip and the forward+triangle and backwards+triangle attacks. The hardest part for Trish are the Blitz enemies as she really isn’t great at fighting them but these moves will still be your best bet. I hope this helps you get those s-ranks 💪

Yeah DMC 1 is hard but it is quite easy as you don’t have to do any S-ranks or bloody palace it’s just completing the game on all difficulties and getting all the files on enemies so it is *relatively* chill

In my opinion, DMC 5 may be harder but only because you have to S-rank every mission on all difficulties including Hell & Hell but DMC 4 s ranks were tough too. But overall I’d say DMC 5 👍

Oh man, when I spoke to you about this platinum, I completely forgot about Bloody Palace. DMC4 was my first game in the series, so I find myself kinder on it than a lot of others. But I agree those trophies are really stressful, especially Untouchable. I wish you luck with DMC5, that is the one platinum I haven’t gotten yet.

I think they both play at 60fps but I believe the ps4 version runs at 1080p resolution whereas ps3 runs at 720p. They will fundamentally play the same except ps4 has a higher resolution 💪
