The back tracking in the second half, the first 10 missions as Nero is good but when it switches to Dante and he just goes literally backwards of Nero, fighting the same bosses in the same locations and fight enemies that feel more designed to take advantage of Nero's skill sets you end up with an inconsistent second half

black wolrd I love him and his arrogant attitude aswell BT face it bro this is his 1st and last appearance in a DMC game for now and long atleast as he is just an innocent looking kid to b a full tym protagonist and genuinely won't suit da rough world of DMC and also has almost 0 knowledge abt da past history of wars between Hell & Earthlings unlykn other experienced looking characters in da series as shown in da game also da story jst revolves only around his own personal goal that ends as a conclusion no further goal or nothing related to da actual DMC matter also nothing of his lyf was evn given as a clue at da end of da game was given lyk always such as will he continue his quest and fight or not it was Dante who showed up at da end and besides giving signs to take da story further with his journey also Nero was not evn properly introduced in da game as well... he was just used as a part of da story who was just fighting for his love and da sake of da religious community he grewup within as a kid and as I told u B4 he had no big goal related to which da whole DMC concept revolves he unknowingly and unwillingly helped Dante by showing him da paths and also tried clearing them to some extent(As a plan of Dante).. da main protagonist here is still Dante if u think abt it carefully to BT m pretty sure sumday later in da series (Not for now itz surely gonna b pretty late) Nero will return in da series being more matured wid more powerful devil arm as there r many questins still being asked abt Nero by da fans for a long tym since da game came out which evn da team of capcom/DMC doesn't HV any ansr till today bt m pretty sure when he returns to game after a long tym wid new looks dis wud b a real unexpected surprise and wud make a blasting impact on every1 and den da story will somehow relate him to da underworld of demons directly (It wud b complicated though as Nero can't transform into a cmplte demon unlyk Dante & Vergil its for sure dat human blood counts more dan da demonic blood in his body thats he cant change his form and looks as a human wid a big devil arm still his identity is unknown in da game I.e his father's identity its for sure he was/is not a human though BT as we all got to know bit abt Nero's mom recently is that she was a prostitute and Nero was found wid a black blanket covering him that's y he was named Nero bdw let's c what happens :)) ... The trailer that got me into the entire series. After finishing 5, there's a certain bit of flash, color, and intensity that isn't nearly as comparable to 4. DMC4 had a mostly organized enemy force, crazy locations, and a goal beyond "beat the bad guy"

I don't get why some people complain on Capcom/Japanese developers targeted at the West. It's for the best. Since HD era you are going to increase the budget and you have to make the game so it appeals to foreigner consumers. Japan who has Japanese taste are used to microtransactions, ad hoc, local multiplayer and less story driven games with big production. Japanese players with global taste still enjoys those games. However, when they outsourced their franchises to Western developers that's when I'm starting to get uninterested. When Capcom's in-house staff are making games so they appeal to foreigner consumers I have no problem with that. I like Onimusha 3, RE4/5/6/7, DMC4, Dragon's Dogma, and they were targeted at the West. Studio 4 at Capcom produced all RE games in the 6th gen including DMC4 for the 7th gen. Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi wanted to make titles for a larger audience and it's rumored he is at the helm of Monster Hunter along with Itsuno to help Capcom with Monster Hunter to grow in the West. The Monster Hunter brand is being reworked to expand it.

Everyone is a wimp, DMC4 is a great game. Gameplay is great in it's own way, story (though half complete) is still holding up so much better throughout the years, music slays DMC5's music to the ground, the sounds are still iconic, and the mother fucking voice acting is perfection itself (eat your fucking heart out, Square-Enix. You can replace voice actors with KZbinrs, but they will NEVER sound this professional). I played DMC4 for the millionth time today after returning from other games, and this is what I'm feeling like now after playing DMC4. Kind of feel like everyone is trying to appeal to all crowds by stabbing at the thing they love here, fuck them, they can learn to live with people liking something they don't, and eat a big one in the corner. DMC4 is just as important and iconic as DMC3, they are literally the same, they both pull off being a staple in the series, and between the both of them, fans play them the most. They have one thing in common, and that is being itself. And if it wasn't for DMC4, there wouldn't be DMC5.
