Yeah, whoever did the mixing for the initial reveal did a REALLY poor job, imo. It was like 10% instruments, then 90% of the original vocalist, who wasn't fantastic to begin with, at least not in Subhuman (iirc, he also sings the end credits music for the REmake2 and that's pretty solid).

I love how the music changes each time you get a better rank. All 3 characters have a great battle theme, but Dante's takes it in spades. It's something so gritty, dark, and nasty about this theme. Also, DMD in this game is no damn joke. Save EVERY gold orb you get during Devil Hunter. You're gonna need them for the higher difficulty modes =]

Honestly, in order to like this song more, you have to properly experience it. And by that I mean playing the game itself, not just listen to it on YTB or any other music platform. After a couple of missions with Dante you'll probably change your mind. Slicing everything in your way while this song is playing in the background may really change your perspective on it. Love this for Dante. DMC4 did a good job of establishing how ridiculously overpowered he is (he literally never sweats anything in the whole game, not even the final boss), but DMC5 helps hammer home how truly unkillable he is. Even if you beat him he'll get back up and keep fighting. Awesome character.

Its funny how changing the lyrics to be less ear piercingly loud and screamy pretty much fixed this song. Don't get me wrong, its still no Public Enemy, Lock & Load, Taste the Blood, or Divine Hate but its still a great battle track.

Yopi Gozal I think it’s meant to give hints about the Sin Devil Trigger, like how Devil Trigger basically tells you Nero’s getting his own DT, and Crimson Cloud tells you V’s identity.
