I feel like the game ended at this point everything else was closure. You lose to Urizen on the first fight then come back twice as strong. You beat back his assault despite him not playing around yet Urizen manages to stay composed and beat back you to an extent almost like he's trying to maintain control. The Urizen leitmotif that was filled with nothing but despair and emptiness in the first battle is now filled with a triumphant guitar and a heavy riff overlaying the orchestra. It's almost like the musics basically saying "you got this"

I like how it's not so subtly shown that Dante is in fact the strongest of the three. When the situation called for it, he put Urizen down. Twice in the same game. Fun fact: Vergil has never beaten him without some kind of advantage. DMC 3: Had more experience and access to more of his demonic power in the first fight DMC 1: Had a boost in raw power from Nelo Angelo transformation DMC 5: Was constantly absorbing human blood in the first fight.

Hence, why he used his rebellion to merge with Sparda sword, all that to protect the people he cherishes by getting access to more of his devil's side, while Vergil threw away his humanity and the things he should have protected.

@dudeguy Nope lol, Dante felt lonely being a half human half demon hybrid and it has been shown in the anime well, which is canon now, but he never "hated" his devilish part like Vergil hates his humanity. He always used his devil powers to protect humans and the people he loves. Dante and Vergil's cases are not the same. Vergil is deeply traumatized and blinded by his goals while Dante despite finding himself lonely and unfit in human society, he is not afraid to use his devil powers and strength to earn cash and help people, which helped him make friends along the way.

Urizen had the best themes in this game. It's a shame, but Vergil's theme in this game doesn't quite compare. The soundtrack for his and Dante's fight wasn't nearly as good or memorable as any of his themes in the third game, or any of Urizen's themes in this game.
