Fun fact: When fighting Phantom on the final encounter with him, try and get him to jump on the glass which in the centre about 5 times roughly. Eventually after jumping for about 5 times, the glass shatters and then the fight ends with him falling and getting pierced leading to his death. You can thank me later if you don’t know about this.

I mean DMC2 isnt bad per se... Its just kinda boring. It does have a soundtrack thats just as good as the original IMO. It also has the best dodging in the series (i prefer the o button and you dont need to style change) The bosses actually look REALLY scary which is something I dont often say for other DMC games. The amulet system is a very good mechanic. And it does potray dante as depressed pretty well. Though the story is pretty mediocre. I like this more saddened and powerful dante... but the story dpesent really focus on him. The villain is the weakest in terms of raw combat power (Both Arius and Argosax) Lucia is a ok character but ultimately pointless as she never returns. The style/combo system is STRICT on the timing. The rival character is such a missed oppurtunity. And guns make the game a pushover. Ultimately DMC2 is not a very good DMC game but its still an ok stand alone game. And hot take but I think DMC2 should still be canon. I think the dark depressed less taunty dante is an excellent additin to his character arc and the enviornment around him. And some argue that the dante is depressed theory was made AFTER the game was made since DMC3 explains alot. But thats not exactly true... Sure we the viewers got to know more about Vergil in DMC3 but I think the depressed dante is still possible in the context of dmc2 even without factoring in dmc3. I mean Vergil was still killed in Dmc1 as nelo angelo, and Trish betrayed dante, as well as nearly putting dante into a losing fight against Mundus... So why wouldnt Dante be depressed after all that? I cant confirm if the devs thought this way but i think DMC2s more dark atmosphere is a nice expirement of variety in the dmc mood even if it doesent surpass the style we kmow amd love.

@DarkYozora 222 yeah but the point is vergil is absolute dumbass.but i just thinking like "what if vergil and dante make a peace together and not fight about their ideolgy? (like vergil think the power rules everything but the dante is the backward of it),but in my opinion if they make piece before DMC3 event or after DMC3 but vergil surrender ,those two guys will be the most badass twins demon hunter or sometthing else like not fighting each other but just only have feeling peacefull every day but in exchange there will be no epic siblings fight that makes the game not to cool for the story.what's your opinion for what if vergil and dante make a peace together ??

@DarkYozora 222 yeah they only team up for killing mundus because they parents were killed by him,and unfortunately after that vergil leave dante again and choose to become more powerfull like his father but it's risking some people life like DMC 5,that vergil seperate him self from his human and demon part.and planted a qliphoth tree that makes people killed.

The worst DMC by far, coming from someone who didn't grew up with them and just started playing all 5 parts 2 months ago. Now I am replaying Part 5, and Part one was by far the worst. Worst Gameplay, worst System, worst combos, worst story, worst dialogues and feels like a middle school theatre
