A minor correction! Some comments have pointed out Dante received Rebellion, not Force Edge, as his father's keepsake. I feel like such a dummy for not noticing! It's worth noting as well that in DMC V, Rebellion also is shattered which was quite a huge deal. It's also canon(?) that he never used Alastor again because he simply forgot it existed. Which is in character for him.

Somthing to mention sparda was never actually confirmed dead so he could still be alive also trish was purposefully made to look like dante and vergils mother and i suspect that mundis used the actual dead body of dante's mom for trish since he was the one who ordered that attack on their house to begin with another thing lol the savior was specifically designed to have a son of sparda as its fuel source also nero was legit melting in it the only reason why he was able to get out was because dante threw the yamato which seperates demon from man (also howv and urizen were created) and nero's sword is heavily modified from its base version by nero himself

On the ps2 DMC2 was split into two disc. One where you play as Dante and the other as Lucia. I only had disc 2 so I was only ever able to play Lucia's story. Thanks gamestop

Kamyia birthed the franchise but it was Itsuno that sailed the ship after 1, he took over mid DMC2 development and tried his best to finish that project. After that he was responsible for every single game from 3 onwards, so let's show the man some respect

So, this was a great video, but I do have some problems because you either missed some details or got some details wrong. 1. Dante was gifted the Rebellion, not the Force Edge. 2. You forgot to mention that the coin Dante flipped in DMC2 was double-headed, meaning that he was always going to help. 3. Nero doesn't start DMC4 with the Yamato. Agnus first had it and was trying to repair it. When Nero was uncovering The Order's plot, Agnus nearly kills Nero. This sparks his awakening, which results in Nero fixing the Yamato and calling it to him. 4. You forgot to mention that Urizen breaks the Rebellion. 5. You also forgot to mention that Dante manages to fuse the broken Rebellion with the Devil Sword Sparda to not only unlock Dante's Sin Devil Trigger, but to give Dante a new sword, the Devil Sword Dante. It's what allows him to easily beat the shit out of Urizen twice, even when Urizen eats the fruit from the Qliphoth.

An interesting take, in the DMCV manga, Vergil's book symbolizes his heart, in the end of DMCV, he gives his book to Nero, maybe is implying that, even if Vergil is a bad person, he still looking foward to try to love someone

There's also a book, describing Dante's life before he even knew he was a half-demon. Back then he was called "Tony Redgrave" and earned his money similiar to something like a mercenary. It's also where he got received Ebony and Ivory from a female gunsmith (forgot her name) who berated him constantly for not taking care of his firearms (that's why she created some durable ones, guns that can withstand Dante's happy-go-lucky-trigger style). Things eventually take a turn when "Gilver" (Vergil) appears in that mercenary guild, being cloaked in bandages, very mummy-like. Yadda yadda, but yeah the book exists.

Mundus didn't teleport Dante as teleportation is never done like that in the dmc series. He simply created an infinitely expanding universe as stated in dmc1 game manual "precious tears". You see his universe starting small but rapidly growing exponentially just as in the Big bang theory

28:48 Only DMC (1) was directed by Hideki Kamiya, the rest of the games were directed by Hideaki Itsuno. DMC 2 had some unkown director for most of it's creation, and for the last 6 months Hideaki Itsuno was brought in to fix the mess of what is DMC 2, but 6 months is just not enough for that (tbh DMC 2 needs to be remade from scratch).

I would've explained more how in DMC 4, Nero was killed by Agnus when he found his secret lab beneath Fortuna Castle. Then how Nero revived himself by awakening his (kinda) devil trigger, actively repairing the shattered yamato (that was broken by Mundus while he fought Vergil after DMC 3) when not even Agnus could. He earned the yamato by awakening his demonic powers. He didn't just happen to have it at the start of DMC 4 like this video would have you believe. Also I would've briefly touched on that Nero had the devil bringer because demons attacked while he was with Kyrie and he desired Power, hearing the voice of Vergil. While Nero was awakening his devil trigger, his arm was seriously injured(also why he was able to hide it in a cast, having Kyrie believe his arm was just injured), leaving only his arm in a permanent devil trigger state. Not angry or anything, just want to correct a bit like the ass I am. Great video overall tho :)

I mean it's Ok to call Hideki Kamiya Father of Devil May Cry... But c'mon he didn't touch the series since the first entry (and then left Capcom to make Clover Studio and after this Platinum). Let's not forget our Foster Father of Devil May Cry, HIDEAKI ITSUNO, who stuck by the series for all the next games and each time they started to stray from the path of SICK SMOKIN' STYLE - he came back, looked at what worked in DMC2 (after Capcom gracefully asked him to drag this mess to the finish line in time for a deadline in less than 5 months after previous ANOTHER director bounced) and DmC:DevilMayCry and created legendary DMC3 and DMC5 respectively from their ashes just because "I don't wanna be remembered as the guy who tanked the franchise". Heck, even DMC4 was a frickin' miracle his team pulled off as it was an EARLY X360/PS3 game and no one had any idea how to work with a new hardware on top of Capcom forcing them to jump to next gen mid development... And it still looks and plays AWESOME to this day. Kamiya maybe was a Father of DMC... But Itsuno is DMC's beloved Daddy, "Not a Step Father but a Father that stepped up"!

Loved the video but i feel it needs to be mentioned that past DMC 1 it was Hideki ITSUNO who was the director of the games and he was the one that joined late into DMC 2 development to attempt to salvage it (kamiya himself has said this on his twitter stating "Even if i were him I couldn't have done better than he did.") Again great video and lore wise everyone else has made the same points and corrections so no need to repeat.
