I'm so happy I found your channel! I LOVE Korean dishes so started making a few of your recipes the other night. I tried the Japchae and mandoo. Both were awesome! We are both from here in Hawaii so many of the dishes/ingredients are very familiar to us & easy to get here. I am not Korean but my hubby is so I want to try to cook traditional dishes for him. He's excited for more;) tonight I will be trying this kimchi fried rice using the leftover mix I have from the mandoo the other nite. Thanks again. Aloha

I love watching your videos. I'm not sure if it's really a traditional Asian recipe, but there is a Chinese restaurant I have a hard time getting to because of my work schedule that makes scallion pancakes and shrimp toast. I absolutely love them, unfortunately the other local Chinese restaurants that work with my schedule don't make these. Because of you and two other Asian women who have food vlogs I've learned to make lots of Korean, Japanese and Chinese dishes. Could you show us scallion pancakes and shrimp toast?

+BeyondChange Hi, I noticed you said "Korean heritage". And I hope you don't think it being too forward to ask you a question. Do you listen to or watch any Kpop music ? I've been a huge fan of Kpop for five years now and it has also giving me an almost obsession with learning more about Korea in general. It's been a lot of fun I must say. I know you must be very proud of your heritage... as I would be too.

Just FYI - That chili sauce with the lady on it is called Lao Gan Ma or Happy Lady Sauce. There are a few different ones, and it's one of the best sauces I've ever tried. Super popular in China and you can get it in most asian grocery stores in the US. The stuff is amazing.

아우... 보면서도 배고파 진다 ㅠㅠ 캐나다에서 살때 자주 시켜먹던 중국집 기억이 나네요 ㅠㅠ 꼭 한번 요리 해봐야 겠다... That looks absolutely delicious. Whole lotta Sriracha.... One can never go wrong with too much sriracha.... I'm hoping to find the ingredients in Korea though... Not as easy as to find these exact brands in Korea than the US or Canada.

Awesome. Chinese cuisine actually is very flexible, which means the quantities and ingredients can be chosen by the cook freely, for example, dark soy sauce or light soy sauce or salt, Boy Choy or cabbage, most Chinese chili sauce are ok, more sugar or little, chicken or pork or beef or lobster or egg or fish are all good, rice or noodle, vegetable oil or olive oil, green onion or not. No text book. Chinese cook all similarly but at the same time differently based on personal taste. Can be super free style. Simplest fried rice? Rice and a little bit soy sauce, done. Want more ingredients? an egg, a little bit oil, a little bit rice wine( or just any wine or even beer), done. Want more? a little bit green onion, a little bit any vegetables, a little bit any meat, a little bit pepper powder or ginger, a little bit any chili if you like, a little bit sugar if you want, done. I often cook salmon fish fried rice, it's super good and super easy too. Sometimes, I even add curry or cheese which most Chinese would not try, but it tastes good too.
