I liked Fitz not keeping Graves and Severson (even better if he traded one before the playoffs last year). And I like Fitz not selling the farm for a short term temporary fix. Unless its unloading Seigs or Marino stay put and collect picks to use for a future trade when we can actually compete. Let's be real we aren't competing with our age on defense for years.

If Ruff goes, which he should!, then Holtz should not be traded. Don't trade Hoktz and then fire Lindy.

This move is....fine. Brady was probably never going to play for the Devils, and I'll never say no to draft capital. My only fear is that this may mean more younger "assets" are going to be traded for potentially overrated older players.

That’s one outcome Adam is concerned could be on the table IF a move can or be achieved with draft assets alone.

Fitzgerald, continues to clown it up. These issues, aren’t something that popped up in the last month, or two. These problems have been here, from day *one.* Both he, and Ruff rode the excuse train for most of the season. Yes, injuries hurt and yes, goalies are an issue however, he *failed* to address them over MULTIPLE seasons. Just my opinion, but Gerard Gallant, is out there. Rikard Gronberg, is out there. As his predecessor has done (to our detriment,) our GM, is riding a loser coach, all season. It couldn’t be any more obvious, that Lindy, is COOKED.

Lindy may well be cooked, but I see Fitz deadline as somewhat critical if he makes any type of even margin moves. Fully agree that he seemed to play it a bit to loose this past offseason, potentially letting critical players walk and just assuming offense would carry the day -ACA
