I think belts do matter but the way Devin got the belts at 135 was the WBC email belt and the beating Kambosos for the rest. They didn't even beat a top 4 guy at 135. Then they turn down a Teo fight at the sphere superbowl week, pretend that Matias turned down an offer, pretend Shakur turned down an offer, etc.. And take a fight with Progrias who was clearly washed the fight before to vulture another easy belt. They also took only 50% for the Regis fight lol. They clearly aren't trying to fight any of the fighters they're claiming to be better than. Also for how pro black Bill claims to be why keep signing contracts with Bob Arum and Eddie Hearn instead of with Al Haymon for the Tank fight? Been following Haney for years. One thing I notice he does incredibly well is when the round is over and he is in his corner he tunes out everything and really focuses on what his corner has to say that he can improve for the next round. If you watch his fights the way he adapts as the rounds go on is incredible.

I think Ryan is a stronger boxer and hits harder than Haney. But Haney is a big strong dude. Haney is a pretty well-spoken guy and I hope he knows when to get out of the sport. He's doing the right thing by fighting the biggest names out there in his 20's and can retire when he wants to. I see plenty of ex-greats fighting well into their 30's and 40's (even into their 50's) because they wasted their prime fighting for peanuts against easy/inferior opposition.
