to all of you saying Devin has no "power behind his punches" HOW is he 7-0 with 5 KOs then lmAooo knocking out grown ass men . cut the noise and respect his talent .
@michaelyork15374 жыл бұрын
He is okay. Someone with timing and a counter puncher will go over that many jabs and his exposed left side won't see it coming. Too much holes on his left side when he throws punches or jabs and his head is up. Sometimes there's a thing called too much jabs meaning you get comfortable throwing it too much that a timed counter becomes inevitable especially if he fights top elite fighters. Hopefully he fixes that or he will get exposed.
@CashpitchingSight4 жыл бұрын
@@michaelyork1537 You need the jab to setup body hooks and facial shots and potentially a ko. Also to switch angles, 'cause the opponent will start reacting. Blocking in front of you where it's hard to hit him, that's why they say setup punches with jabs. So those are important, not only that, you study your opponent

+Panchito Lopez Boxing isnt a hard sport to learn. Theres a lot of fighters that started late and became hall of famers like Winky Wright. Dude started at age 15 and became a pro at 18.
@trentcazier37638 жыл бұрын
+grapedrank666 he started at 7. And yes boxing is an incredibly hard sport to learn. Watching is different from actually doing. Watching you see the big hits and the fast hands and it looks easy. A punch requires your whole body starting from your pivoting feet then your legs pushing because believe me just arm punches don't do shit. Then you need to turn your whole body into it and use your core. And follow through and punch through what your hitting. And that's one punch. Try stinging together a continuous amount of punches and make combos flow and connect. It's hard. Don't be ignorant.

Devin is almost identical to Michael Nunn. I see how he also established control and the pace of the fight. Good ring generalship at such an early age. Watch that pullback. That's how Broner got caught by Maidana so many times. Worrk on sending that right down the pike too. Good work!

Devin Haney is a decent fighter, he has good speed and ring generalship. His punches hit home and he has slick counters, that check left hook but the worst thing he can do for himself is to try to copy Floyd's style; also this fight went the distance, Clay Burns was tough as nails, Devin couldn't get him outta there which is good because that kind of adversity is needed to provide a challenge for Devin Haney to push him to his limits to see if he'll hang in there or crumble after hitting his opponents with everything he's got.

I think his Devins gameplan was not to get in there and throw flurries of punches. He seems to be testing out his boxing skills in the michigan defense. He does look a little slow , but probably because of this. He needs to work on throwing punches on the go, mainly when dipping to the left. He did good though.

He's lacking punching power because he's too small he needs to gain weight than cut it to build body mass and he's arm punching too much, he needs to learn how to fully extend on his punch, make them clean and sharp and to load up when he executes combinations.
