Guillaume Paquet No, you're 100% wrong. We get offended that people still falsely claiming that cannabis is bad for you. It is not. And cannabis is indeed good for you. Medically, cannabis is a natural stress/anxiety/depression relief treatment and can help those undergoing leukemia with pain relief and lack of appetite. These are only the benefits on the top of my head.

I mean it's not a black or white statement. Weed has some good qualities to it and some bad qualities. Take it for what it is, it effects some people differently. If it's not for you then that's alright. That being said, I know people that use it that would probably be better off without it and are lying to themselves.

My friend suffers from clinical depression and she has occasional panic attacks. She's never smoked much weed (if at all) but went out in the weekends and drank like the rest of us. After quitting drinking altogether she says that her condition has improved a lot and that she feels in control over it. My point is that I really feel that Devin is very right when he says that some people might react different on a deeper level than others to intoxication and one should be aware of how much it does

Damn it's exactly why I stopped smoking it too.. I came to a point where I felt some kind of guilt , out of nowhere, minutes after smoking it. Realising it became an habit and not a recreational made me stop too.

Love this guy! Besides his music, which I love, the things that he has to say about life and the way his mind works have helped me immeasurably in the last two years. Oh, and if you like Strapping but you don't, at least kind of, like Dev's solo stuff, I really don't think that you get either.

I love weed - it has medicinal properties, is way less dangerous than alcohol and is unfairly demonised by various mainstream circles. I only smoke a few times a month at most; it makes me happier plus I can stop at any time (and have done so without noticeable adverse effects), but, if someone does have a mental illness, it is true that consumption may encourage some negative effects. Know your own body.

I love to watch interviews with Devin since starting DTP. I think my favourite album from him is ZTO, I haven't really connected to Ki but I guess I just need to listen to it more. I like how he talks about the purpose of his artistic direction too. I always believe that there's no point in doing anything in life unless you constantly ask yourself why are doing it. Even if you think you know you need to constantly reaffirm that what you are doing is actually honest, relevant and right.

Cool interview, I'm from amsterdam, so smoking pot was kind of part of puberty. Got loads of friends still smoking, but i quit like 15 years ago for the same reasons Devin points out right here. My friends are cool with it, and slowly more and more stop smoking marihuana, almost all are happy to quit after a while.

I dont think it has to do with that, he just said it.It depends on the guy..You can take it as something you like or something depend on.I love his work with SYL and with his solo project and the way they sound depend on mental states more than drugs/alcohol.This guy recognized to have some mental issues and even personality changes so drugs and alcohol changed that even more.But effects change from person to person.

based on that interview it seems devin townshend is not condeming weed, he is just saying it is not for him and he is better off without it. It personally suits me as I don't get paranoid or foggy but in fact just chill out and can step back from the negative things in life that seem important but are really not. However I know people who get paranoid/anxiety and anything that you feel is bad for you (obviously weighing up your deisre to do it with the side effects) you should stay away from

and there are many other side effects that may or may not happen with weed. as it is a psycho active drug the risk of getting a psychosis is really a lot higher than if you do not smoke. it`s a fact, it has been proven.. and btw this is coming from someone who does smoke as well as scrutinize questionable scientific facts. i know enough about psychology and weed (as both is part of my life) and the only thing that YOU prove is that you are no reflected weed smoker at all.
