Devins been playing more SYL songs lately and here is Gene.... is there something really cool on the horizon?
@ehcmier4 жыл бұрын
He keeps talking about how he had to put it behind him for not relating to that emotional and mental state. He's making peace with it without reliving it. He was not healthy then and is trying to keep moving forward. Fans telling him that the dark stuff helped them get through their own dark stuff has helped Dev see a positive side of it.
@bubbagidrolobidoo67303 жыл бұрын
Is this not cool enough on its own?
@rlm44716 ай бұрын
@@ehcmier I agree, and I also think that some of the SYL tunes are probably easier than others for him to engage with now. Skeksis isn't a very dark tune lyrically, but you probably aren't going to hear Dev perform Shitstorm anytime soon.

Gene’s drumming was more inhumanly good than the actual drum machine on the rest of the songs.

Gene is such an amazing drummer, and it's a shame that the production on the last Testament album makes him sound like EZdrummer. I'll take the older, "shittier" production on an album like Symbolic any day, where you can hear the dynamics.

Open C with a low G since it was originally played on a 7-string

that's his open B guitar. Actually, I also noticed that this sounds lower. I guess he dropped that semitone so it's easier for him to sing this.
