I thought I was the only one too. :3 Sky Blue felt like a brilliant amalgam of, dare I say, his entire discography in a way with some new twists. Not to mention considering the album's theme is centered around loss, it definitely hits home numerous times. For me at least. As for Dark Matters, HOLY SHITBALLS. Over-the-top hilarious, musically epic, and all around a barrel full of monkeys. ^^

I hate Sky Blue. It's the worst thing Devin has ever written hands down. It's hard for me to believe that the same guy who wrote Terria and Ocean Machine also wrote Sky Blue. Z2 was pretty bland as well. These two albums made me stop looking forward to his releases.

All Devin Townsend stuff is basically just fluff after Ocean Machine, Terraria... And his metal band "Strapping Young Lad" has some of the best material too. So I recently finished listening to Transcendence for the first time which was my first time listening to DTP and I really enjoyed it. But it wasn't the greatest thing I've heard. I just checked out this song for the first time earlier today and now I'm convinced that I need to explore this band so much more 😍😍.
