The amount I would pay just to quietly watch him work. Efficiency and pure musical excellence

he did a video with toontrack where he showed the process of writing a song that ended up being on one of his albums. its 2.5 hours.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHPbq6Vvo8R7gZosi=ASoYgDRtqVtsUE68 so, how much were you willing to pay? xD

I’ve kept up with Devin since City. To see how much he’s accomplished…and to see this dream studio come to-life…brings a lot of joy to me. He deserves so much more, but is too efficient to notice. Love it.

The ultimate Devin Townsend man-cave. So happy to see...such a great dude...have something that he truly enjoys.

For sure the Dev Lab seems to be a real paradise for a little amateur musician like me. A dream ......

Devin is just the coolest dude ever. Everything in this studio is setup perfectly for immediate capture of ideas, and is still kept as absolutely simple as possible. If I could get my stuff sorted out, it would be so easy to get ideas recorded quickly. I find that half the time I forget what I was inspired to record, because it took so long to get everything setup to go! Edit: Heck.

Devin is so friendly and humble that for a moment I was shocked like "WOW look at this average youtuber's studio!" I have to admit that I had a moment of readjusting. Of course Devin Townsend's studio should look like this!! Love you Devin!

Wow, that is super! Very clean and classy setup which makes for a nice creative atmosphere. This makes me appreciate the learning curve of engineering your own work. Nobody could ever accuse Dev for being lazy. I'm sure Oliver helps him remain focused! 🐕

I love the bass trap at the back, reminds me of the great smokey mountains. Also love the idea of the different layers with the LEDs. I saw something similar at an airport once, snapped a picture for future reference/inspiration. studio looks great!

Man, I love seeing studio tours from people who are using it mostly to make their own music, rather than trying to generalize and make it viable for a lot of different people. Seeing how you have things setup specifically for *your* workflow for *your* music is awesome. In concept, my home studio is pretty similar, with the emphasis on speed and workflow. Everything's always plugged in, and you can basically move at the speed of thought. I think the only gear we have in common is the Stream Decks, though. 😂 Thanks for the tour, Dev! This was awesome!

Wow! I would watch a lot of studio vids, and ppl that build home studios. This by far is my favorite. Kinda goes what I work want. Just looks like a comfortable space and the lights do help, at least for me. It doesn’t make sense, but dig it. It’s a beautiful studio man, congrats.

For a musician its so great to watch Devin - my absolutely favourite metalist/experimentator - to talk about his musical equipment, showing how he works........ Its great how he tries to have everything clear and minimalistic. I totally get his idea... I love POWERNERD Devin! Thank you for all that great stuff! Hope many more amazing albums will be created in this great studio!

This is one of the most thoughtful and considerate designs (2nd comfy chair and automation fader 🤌🏾) that I have ever seen.
