Are you using the Stealth Angla Max paddle? I have a 555 and have been missing some bumps and wondered if switching to the bigger paddle would help, or if my technique and power are off. I am 6'4" and 100kgs.

Hey bud A longer paddle does help a lot but honestly learning to improve your technique will beat any paddle you can buy bud

This is a jumbo version of the eddyline 14. The Eddyline 14 is 14 feet long and 29 inches wide, extremely stable in rough water. I'm considering buying the 555 for the added speed but I'm also comparing it to the 575 and the new elite 530. Tough decision but the 555 is stable which is a big deal in island transits like I do.

incredible kayak Cpt! I do have a question though what is your opinion on vanhucks and what do you think about the sea capabilities for stealth and vanhucks

Yo howsit Andries! In all honesty the Stealth Kayaks is the most suitable ski for the sea as they have adapted from making racing skis to fishing skis. VanHunks wouldn't be recommended for going out to sea in as it is heavy and not streamlined for paddling. However for freshwater and possibly estuaries with little current/lagoons it will do better. There is no fish hatch and storage etc whereas the Stealth has a double hull (fish hatch is seperate to hull) and you have space in there to store your rods incase weather picks up or going through the surf. You honestly won't go wrong with Stealth. 👊💥 Cheers bugger! Tight lines

Hey thanks bud! Stoked she paddles like a dream! I use a Shimano Saragosa 5000 with 30lb FM Pro 8x braid on a prototype rod 👊💥 My other setups is a Shimano Spheros 6000 with 30lb FM Pro 8x braid on a Fishman Equalizer 8ft XHeavy. Love it dude.
