Lucius Fox entering his name into the machine IS what destroyed the machine. He told Bruce that as long as that machine was at Wayne Enterprises, he wouldn't be. Bruce intended for it to be destroyed. So Fox didn't quit. He stayed..

A nice touch: when Gordon meets with Harvey Dent in his office at the beginning, check out the wall of files behind him. Half of the files are perfectly neat and orderly, and the other half are completely messed up, foreshadowing Harvey's face later when he becomes Two-Face.

Years ago i was able to see the rambler and bike from these batman movies. It was in a truck trailer crossing the border. Nobody knew what it was, we knew for a movie. But didnt know they were redoing the batmans. Both of them were really slick looking. Low and wide. It was pretty cool. I guessed it was a spacemovie prop. Looks like something they would drive on the moon. A year or two later the movie came out. Was awesome to see them in action. *i hit the thumbs up cuz mini devon told me too🫡

I thought that Batman chose Harvey the first time I saw this movie too, but if you listen closely before he leaves Gordon at the Police Station, Gordon asks, "Who are you going after?" and Batman says, "RACHEL!" So really, the Joker was manipulating Batman into going after the "wrong" person as a joke/part of his ultimate plan to sow chaos.

Agree with you 100%! Rachel is not worth it and drives me crazy every time I watch it. The Joker is the most dangerous villain there is. He is intelligent and doesn’t care who lives or dies, even himself. He laughed while catching a beating and laughed louder falling to his death. The music and Gordon’s monologue at the end gets me every time, watching an injured Batman running and stumbling into the night, taking the rap for someone else. Get to the Dark Knight Rises ASAP. It is the perfect ending to the trilogy.

I read a comic from 2008 that's just called The Joker that clearly shows just how scary The Joker is and it said the following about him and this was someone else talking about him which made him even more scary to me. "He will stand over your body with your blood on his hands and I promise you, he will laugh. Not because your life means nothing to him, but because death, for him, is the punch line." That's the kind of psycho he is.

JOLLY RANCHES!!! Oh my gosh, that's what they are! When i first heard about Taylor Schabusiness' case, i came to know she ate jolly ranches while doing her stuff &, since i am italian & i don't really enjoy US' food, i was wondering "what's jolly ranches?! It's some kind of meat?" Because by hearing "ranches" i thought about the word "ranch" & so about horses, cow & other kind of animals. I was sure it was meat. Batman The dark Knight is by far the best superhero movie made and probably will remain so. Heath Ledger won an Oscar for best supporting actor. Too bad it was posthumous. He was absolutely amazing.

I wish more people tried to understand the Joker instead of just being scared of him or writing him off and being crazy. One of the reasons the joker is so popular is that he speaks the truth, he's created by society and now he's returning the favor by embracing chaos. In this movie he knows Batman's one rule is that he'll never kill someone which is why he's trying to get Batman to kill him. The joker wants Batman to become a murderer so he's no better than the rest of the criminals being corrupted with no one else to protect Gotham. Same thing with how he corrupted Harvey Dent turning him into Two Face. That's why he's laughing at the end thinking he finally broke Batman just to be disappointed when Batman saves him.

Everyone is extremely hard on Rachel, but it's explained that it's a two way street there. They're both in the wrong for trying to start things back up. Bruce mainly for trying to take Rachel from Harvey, and Rachel for not be direct with Bruce. It's because it hasn't come up for Bruce or Rachel in awhile, and they both still have feelings for each other. But the problem is that Rachel was in the process of moving on, she was already falling in love with Harvey. Bruce just came in and stirred up her emotions. It isn't fair to lay all the blame on her. It's a intentionally complicated relationship that doesn't do a great job of painting each side. We see and know why Bruce can't do all that stuff, but he insists on trying to start a relationship with Rachel.

Not a fan of these attempted films on the long time character, it's very dark and very brooding unlike the actual 70 year comics but I'm definitely curious if you've seen Batman the Movie yet? The only good moment of acting that “this” version of Rachel had, was when Batman walked into the room with Harvey (instead of Rachel), and you could hear Rachel’s voice, and her hope, drop from her mouth to below her gut. It was the realization that she won’t be saved. You just head and felt it SINK. This version of Rachel was sexed up and over confident…really annoying and arrogant. The first actress was wholesome and reserved. So much better.
