Reasons that Caroline is and always will be my favorite character: She was extremely relate-able in Season 1. I instantly understood her insecurities and felt for her because growing up I always had the best friend that everyone loved and everyone liked. All the guys I had crushes on would talk to me to ask about HER. It sucks and it hurts. But, she blossoms in Season 2. And it's always good to see the underdog blossom and grow! Caroline is proof that not all Vampires just become a more heightened version of themselves! She did keep a lot of her personality traits that became stronger, yes. (Planning, controlling, multitasking, etc.) But, her insecurities eventually faded and she became this confident, kindhearted and compassionate person that she desperately wanted to be when she was human! She went from "kiddie pool shallow" to "ocean deep". =P

This video made me cry so bad because I always wished for a happier ending for Caroline. I have had similar experiences with people around me, and even though I started out disliking Caroline I related so much to how she felt that I just couldn't help but sympathize with her in the end. Let's hope the Originals season 5, and most hopefully Klaus, give her that ending. Klaus was the only one who didn't disliked her at the start, and who always had her first over everyone. He even went to rescue her occasionally over his family, like when both Caroline and Rebekah were captured. That was one of the reasons why I started shipping Klaroline, because she's not just good for his humanity, he is also good for her insecurities because he always wanted her. Not anyone else, but her.

She really is the worse character on the series and Tyler even tried to kill himself going after klaus because everyone turned their backs on him because of her. She really is sooo awful. I feel bad for klaus and Tyler (even though klaus kind of deserves it but not to be used "klaus get me a dress, I want to look hot and then in the next episode being treated as a fucking pest.) it's really awful. She is sooooo horrible. She has her moments but she really is just a bad person but looks at everyone (like Enzo) I am a good vampire. Like shut the fuck up their is no such thing as a good vampire. You've killed someone (someone's sister, brother, parent, uncle... ) it's awful. She is by far the worst character on the series.

Actually no she is a caring person. Every single vampire is bad but they are good too. All of them are caring. And no she isn't just using people. She loves all her friends. Caroline let her sexual vampire drive get in the way which is a flaw in being a vampire but that doesn't mean she is using her friends. Elena is the one that is the worse character after she became a vampire.

Well it's okay if you don't like her that's your opinion. And yes, she has her flaws. Like you said, i didn't like the whole Klaus thing either (nor do I ship Klaroline), but everyone has flaws, that what makes characters sympathetic. But i do like her and i think that she is actually a really kind person with a tender heart and so much love to give. I never said she is perfect, i said that as a character the show didn't treat her right, because they were focusing so much on Elena and these stupid romances. Doesn't matter if she is bad or good, she is one of the main characters and not just some sidekick, so they should have given her some proper storyline from the begining, that's all.

you know maybe cause Elena's the main character, Maybe that's why "everything" is about her. and maybe cause she lost both her parents at once, found out she was adopted and then her real parents both die and then her aunt Jenna and then her brother... oh and she recently became a vampire and everyone is all after her hating her and not wanting her to be who she is, except for Damon, they treated her like she was a broken toy. I mean I think a little more than one thing happened before she flipped the switch. also Caroline did flip the switch after her mom died and Stefan "rejected" her. No guy ever goes after me, I never say the right thing, I'm never EVER first choice.. like ever. but its not Elena's fault that she does say the right thing as is first choice, which isn't always the case. Elena can't control others. Elena isn't perfect... she does try to be strong, and when people are hurt she tries to let them know she related to them to help them not feel alone, I do that too. but people automatically think your making it about yourself, when its absolutely not what you're doing. they both go through hard time and neither are perfect, but both are fantastic characters, dont bash on characters, cuz to be honest it says way more about you than the character
