Such a good thing to do at school level, wish there were such competitions in school in my day in S Africa. There was only a few bar compos where you could win a few crates of beer. I was a confused left hander and unbeaten in my town since primary school days and throughout high-school but I never really continued it. Right hand 2 of my friends went to nationals, 1 was beaten by I think Terrence Opperman, the other made it to internationals in the 70kg something category but never went and he was untouchable but it never really kicked off in the last 10 years. Armwrestling didn't even kick off in SA until after the over the top movie came out, otherwise it's all about rugby in SA unfortunately, that's where the bucks are, you know comparing an individual sport like armwrestling in Canada to a team sport like rugby in SA says it all.
