These things are just one way of his expression. Devon is a way of thinking, a way of being. He is a lifestyle, he is philosophy. I don’t see even a seed of any of that in Schoolboy. Schoolboy will grow up to be a good arm wrestler, but he’s not going to grow up to be an international ambassador of arm wrestling, well-balanced healthy lifestyle, positive thinking and dreaming big, positive message of educating the others, sharing knowledge and experience, merit and perfectionism. He doesn’t even have that mould. Devon is interstellar and Schoolboy is just a dust of sand - to give you some understanding of scale of growth.

It is just fast twitch fibres, basically it's like Nate Diaz and McGregor. Nate can never knock you out with one punch , but he can punch you all night long , till your brain says - no more, that's enough. You can watch the fight yourself. Devon is working with what he has , and he is doing amazing with it. Levan is on the other spectrum - super explosive, but you saw what happened, when for the first time someone managed to hold his attack for a while - he was done pretty quickly

Devon has the mind over body power. That is why he is so resilient. A lot of people will give up as the "vector" has been extended too much. But he could still control the muscles even half an inch from touch down. The mind and muscles simply won't give up. That said, it is clear that he might not have as much explosive power as the youngster. So he plays defense most of the time when dealing with these young people.

At 4:20 it's obvious Devon was not able to beat schoolboy : he tries to pull and schoolboy destroys his arm in one second... he is really very strong... he just needs to learn how to finish his opponent when this one just desables him to reach the ground... (he must wait in this position a few seconds, the time to get back a bit of energy, and then finish the job in a hard and violent movement...).

I always wondered between these two.. and now, I just witnessed the most humbled pro athlete. if anyone one of us were Devon on this day, at that table...99.9% of us would have went full power and show who's the best and destroy this infamous young arm wrestler. Also Devon couldn’t hurt schoolboy, he’s much more experienced and stronger arm wrestler but schoolboy has good enough technique that he wouldn’t get hurt in the loss.

@@SweetLeavesXbox1 If the elbow is on the pad, and the shoulder of the hand they're using is on line with or above the table, it's completely within the rules to ''sling your body''. Devon himself says that arm-wrestling is a full body sport, and all professionals including him does it. Keeping your body straight is often bad practice, and the reason why Devon does it here is because he's strong enough compared to schoolboy to stay in a defensive position. He does this on purpose in this ''match'' simply to test the strength of Schoolboy. There are even several videos on KZbin where Devon teaches people to do just that (sling your body in an attacking position) perfectly. Depending if it's a toproll, wrist flop, or king's move, you're supposed to follow your arm with you body and mostly keep your eyes on your hand so you don't twist the main bone in your arm, the most common way to break you arm btw.
