I laughed my head off when I first saw this in college, to the extent that I virtually became part of the "HA, HA, HA, HA, HA" of the video. My buddy John poked fun at my giddiness by saying that Devo "were all philosophy majors in college" (which I was), adding to my ha-has. Thanks for bringing back this memory. Rest in peace, Bob and Alan.

THEY WERE GENIUSES. GOD HAS SUCH A TREMENDOUS SENSE OF HUMOR. LOTS OF ROCK AND ESPECIALLY NEW WAVE MUSIC IS INSPIRED BY GOD WITH SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES AND PROPHECY AIMED RIGHT AT THE DEVIL AND ALL WHO FOLLOW. Laugh if you want to Or say you don't care If you cannot see it You think it's not there It doesn't work that way Acts 2:17-21 New International Version (NIV) 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[a]

When this came out it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen or heard! I was a fan for a few albums before and feel they reached their full potential and prowess with this one. It still raises my heart rate whenever I hear it! The song's energy is incredible and it's message seems to have gone over most people's heads. Those who think this is a joke just don't get it...
