Incredible tribute to Gregg. One of my favorite songs. Possibly the greatest line ever written, "Please don't confront me with my failures...I'm aware of them.

@Stargazer I'm aware that Jackson Brown wrote the song, his version of it is great also. I did not mean to give the impression that G.A. wrote it.

Oh my gosh, the most beautiful thing I've heard today. I loved Allman brothers back in the 70s, even though David Bowie, my God, was liberating my 15yo self from stifling West Tennessee, I did not know of Devon until now, and I'm embarrassed. He's obviously brilliant. Not saying he's country, but if modern country music aspired to this, it wouldn't be so gross and generic. Lolz...

This is Gregg Allman’s version of Jackson Browne’s song “These Days” which he wrote at the age of 16. “Please don’t confront me with my failures, I had not forgotten them.” Wow , age 16. Jackson had been a roommate with Greg when Greg heard this song, and recorded it way before Jackson did (Jackson was only a writer , not a performer ) it gave Jackson a whole new perspective on how this song could be sung. Jackson admits this to this day. But remember , Jackson wrote this song at the age of 16. There have been many other recordings of this song , many before his own recordings. What a gem !
