Devon and North Cornwall, sand, sea and sun, filmed by me while on holiday in a converted Farmhouse at Lee Barton Farm, North Cornwall. Adventures includes a pebbled beach where river meets sea, driving through a Ford, visiting Clovelly, the only privately owned village in England, privately owned by the same family since 1738 and with cobbled streets kept in the style of a mid-19th century village. Numerous waterfalls leading onto the beaches and into the sea, Bideford Long Bridge, over six hundred years old and restored in 1925; canoeists, boats and ships in harbours, on the river and at sea; a visit to Ilfracombe and boat trip to see the wildlife at sea including dolphins.
Seagulls, drive through country lanes, a beautiful Devon sunset, and sandy beaches with rock pools full of purple jellyfish; until the sea mist rolled inland and over the beaches and landscape, without warning; just like in 'The Fog'; Then through the Ford and onto Duckpool beach where river meets sea at sunset while the sea mist hovered in the hills.
Visit to Bude and Bude's sandy Seaside before making our way to the twined town of Lynton and Lynmouth, the location of the famous flood of 1952, travelling on the Lynton and Lynmouth cliff railway located in the Exmoor National Park and meeting a seagull willing to pose for the camera before making the homeward journey across Exmoor, but not before seeing whacky scarecrows posing in a Devon town.
