I absolutely respect the both of you! However my question is why is it when a man feels unsafe/ less vulnerable in his home ; he is subject to roaming outside of the home to get his needs met without having a conversation with his spouse and continuing to suffer in silence in a unhappy Union.To me that is clearly taking the choice away from his spouse to attempt to address an issue the spouse is unaware of and ultimately his own fault for continued unhappiness by not communicating the problem.

PLEASEEEEE answer this bc I HAVE created a safe non-judgmental space for my man to come to me where he can communicate freely but he STILLLLL went into hiding with his vices that basically self sabotaged our relationship. The only thing left was to walk away bc he himself says he needs space to figure his *ish out...smh. I do believe that such manhood within males requires the foundation of faith in God and a related willingness towards self-management supported by that faith. Please also provide examples of resources of where women may find men that embody the positive masculine energy you describe; as many mothers in their attempt to connect their children with a masculine example, introduce males camouflaged as men to the household, who have a predatory rather than nurturing intention. Please provide potential resources, such as that of The Boys And Girls Clubs, suggested by actor Denzel Washington. God bless you both. Please continue this dialogue and the blessing and healing it is giving to others.

I used to do that and he considered it as smothering him. I know now I was dealing with a grown male. Who thinks he is a man. He hardly checked on me. And when he was vulnerable I listened and was a safe place for him. He just grew up with his father beating his mother. And silencing her. He thinks he is always right. It's been 7 days today that I left him. It's hard. But I have to choose me.
