But I think a big part of what he also said was he saw his father and his uncle and his aunt's husbands and learned the path not to lead. I think a boy needs to learn from witnessing a man or multiple men. With just a woman raising a man, you far too often get a Norma/Norman Bates or Momma Dee/Lil' Scrappy type of relationship (an overbearing mother trying to dictate the direction of a young man's life).
