The kicked back wrist makes the lift more concentrated on the pronation, cupping the wrist will make it easier to lift more weight if you have a strong backpressure. Trust me, i tried both of them but not in the same way devon does it, i did a full range of motion pronation exercise and kicking your wrist back makes it harder to pronate.

I feel like Levan is so far ahead of the competition that the level in armwrestling has been forced to try to keep up, and of the contenders I feel Ermes is the one who is most likely to get the first actual pin or maybe even win against Levan. The only Devon does his lift with the wrist kicked back is to simulate the King's Move that's when you lose your cup and pronate over your opponents hand near the pin pad, like Devon did to Dave in their match at WAL, that's why he does that. If you're a top roller do not do that, start with your wrist neutral or cupped, you never want your wrist back as a top roller, as a King's Mover you will have to fight with your wrist back a little bit that's how that move works....
