Okay hear me out: instead of blending the extra space into the environment, make one of these fake beaches, now that we have the the pond tool, with a beach bar and outside seating. It is called the Cabana after all! I know these places tend to be a little tacky, but if anyone is up to the challenge of making a tasteful version of this, it's you!

idea for the extra space on the lot: a mini-playground (maybe just a set of swings and a sandbox or something) so your sims can bring their kids and they'll be entertained while their parents get blasted inside

i love the new orleans style ... red dead redemption 2 has some gorgeous houses in saint denis i always wanted to try to recreate them ...watching desperate housewifes again too at the moment ... and of course Bree is the best ... but i love Gabrielle ...

With the extra space (going off where I live) but maybe an area for teens/young adults, somewhere they can sit and chill and maybe add a busking object so they can chill and listen to music?

The reference picture was from the NCIS New Orleans show that ended the series for New Orleans, opening up thd new NCIS Hawaii. The Agent had the bar as an homage to his Mom, he also was a pianist. I said PIANIST, Aden.. lol 😆 his home on the second story. He was a busy man, NCIS Agent, Barowner, father, and just all around good man. It was a heck of a show too. Loved it! This does justice,, little pun there to the last community build for Willow Creek. Love you Aden my friend ❤ give Tom and a haggle to Blue... the Star!!!

Devon I have an idea. You should use the other half of this lot and build an adjoining movie theatre! I always love having this kind of casual place my sims can go as a date to watch movies and have a laugh, and this way they can come have a drink afterwards at the bar. Please Please PLEASE do this.

Glad you had a wonderful weekend. I also agree Desperate housewives' is an amazing show. If I remember the picture you are using for inspiration is a bar from NCIS: New Orleans. One of the main character bought it and was renovating it.

If you want, you can make that extra area into a small walking park with benches, in the front with a path going twords the water leading to a little square with two or three food vendors at the back, that way you can make it seem like the vendors put those umbrella tables and chairs out for patrons to sit at, enjoying the watery views, delicious food and good company.

I absolutely LOVE Cottage Living...and I didn't think I would! I wasn't excited for it until I saw what the windows and doors looked like! lol I've been building and building and actually did quite a bit of gameplay as well!!

I remember when I was younger I had to go to bed at 10pm just as Desperate Housewives was starting, and I would sneakily turn on the tv to watch it, and then if I heard my mum coming up the stairs I would turn it off and rush to my bed to pretend I was asleep 😂 probably not a show for kids but I couldn’t help myself its too good

Maybe a young entrepreneur moved into Willow Creek, bought this old bar and completely renovated the bar and there is this beautiful glass solarium with lots of plants! Lights! Dj booth! Dancefloor! Its a vibe! Call it “Club Nü Willow” - very bougie and fabulous!

I had a two week long Desperate Housewives phase when I stayed over with a British family living in France for an exchange program in high school. My French wasn’t great at the time so I couldn’t really communicate with my host student’s friends. So instead, I mostly stayed home with her English mum and we binged the entire thing. Haven’t watched an episode since 😅

This build reminds me of a bar in New Orleans called Cats Meow, it’s also a karaoke bar! I’ve never visited but there is a live webcam you can watch online of outside the building and also one inside too! I enjoy people watching so I’ve explored a lot of the world this way 😂

I LOVE Desperate Housewives !! It is the single show that got me through covid. It is hard to pick just one character, tbh, they are pretty iconic. Also, the story gets at times surprisingly dark! It took some quite shocking turns.

When I went to LA last year I visited the Desperate Housewives set! I am not sure if it was the universal backlot tour I did or the WB one, but if you ever go there; make sure to go on those tours! So much fun! :) xx

I’m playing Sims 4 on my brand new M1 iMac and it’s amazing! I’ve never been able to play at high specs but the M1 is right up to the task. No lags at all. It’s as smooth as silk.

Do a pub garden - kids area so the adults can come & drink and the kids can play in the garden. Loving cottage living, I'm actually properly playing again. Was having problems with my mac keep crashing, something kept sending it into a kernel panic and it refused to fix! Got a 2nd hand one, late 2013, 16GB ram, 3TB hard drive and 1GB dedicated graphics. Gone from it taking abut 15/20 mins for the game to load to around 1 min load time!! Not bad for an old girl!! I mean the mac not me - ell I'm an old girl too but that's not the point!

Similar to what you did with the goth residence in the more traditional neighborhood. I feel like the world is so image focused they need somewhere to work out and keep up the work their surgeons did :)

It's kind of ironic (in an Alanis Morissette way). That patch was supposed to fix lag. I had lag before the patch and now I don't. So I'm guessing for some people who had lag previously, it fixed it. For the people who didn't have it, it gave the lag. Oh sims.... Edit: I haven't bought Cottage yet. I didn't get sims until a full year after it came out because I heard it was missing a lot. So I'm behind on buying the packs. I buy about 1 expansion, game pack, and stuff pack a year because I wait until the sales. I think EA is a bit of a racket and that some of the things they sell us should have already been in the game. So I don't pay full price. Haha. But I bet you like the pack because you can relate to it. This is the first pack they have done that's really British. Windenburg was Germany and brindleton was New England
