The most haunting song this year! This should be a worldwide hit! Addictive music, addictive (and intelligent) lyrics...

I totally agree! It's really the best song from Electric to me. Unfortunately we weren't so lucky in Paris as the people from Chile to hear this song live..... I just discovered it yesterday whem listening to the online feed of the album! It's an amazing song.

Also my favourite from Electric! I'm just listening to the online feed of the album and I'm playing this song for the 10th time...still don't get enough :)))) Unforetunately, it wasn't part of the concert in the O2/London either but I hope to see this sometime live. Fantastic song!

Of all the songs I have heard from Electric so far, this is the most PSB sounding song whatever this means, from lyrics to the arrangements. This is the PSB I love most, no matter how much it is a tried and proven formula.

You guys are so lucky, literally the only Electric concert (so far) with this song on the setlist! I'm seeing them tomorrow and I highly doubt they'll do this instead of Go West. It'll still be amazing, but... sigh. Such a wonderful song.

they were really disappointed that the crowd weren't dancing or jumping up and down from this performance and actually removed the song from the setlist as a result. you can see the crowd dead-still in this video. Neil says it might have been because he was sitting.

Perfection, Pet Shop Boys and The Draughtsman's Contract! Aha, Mr Neville, so love is a bourgeois construct. Love them both. Perhaps this has more to do with Peter Greenaway than Milton Freeman et al?

At least Marx's argument's sound good on paper, Freedman's ideas sound very classist and elitist; Marx was trying to promote equality, while Freedman wanted the poor to stay poor, and the rich to get richer.

In the 19th century, the German economist Karl Marx distinguished two types of bourgeois capitalist: (i) the functional capitalist, the business administrator of the means of production; and (ii) the rentier capitalist whose livelihood derives either from the rent of property or from the interest-income produced by finance capital, or both.

I think this album will do good in UK and South America and Germany. Sounds very promising. This tour like usual the visuals and lighting is good, not too keen on the dancers. I prefer the pandemonium dancers.

I love PSB music, it's mi life's soundtrack, I own all their albums and maxis but I must say one thing... in this song Neil's voice is very very weak.
@dolphinmania201011 жыл бұрын
The vocal is deliberately "weaker" to mimic the album version.

I do not want to get into some long-living KZbin conversation. Your style of writing and the complete lack of any kind of reasonable argumentation in your comment already disqualifies it. I don't know you personally and I don't want to argue on a personal level. I have only criticized your first comment for delivering no arguments. Your second comment continues this tradition. I do not expect improvements in your further statements, so I regard this discussion as being over.
@nschuehly11 жыл бұрын
I haven't read Milton Friedman's works but I've watched a few interviews with him; his argumentations seemed quite brilliant to me. Objectively, his works - which won him the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences - spanned more than seven decades. And you dare to simply call him an "idiot" on KZbin and then you are mentioning Marx in the next sentence, seemingly in a positive way, whose ideas - unintended or not - brought suffering to hundreds of millions of people?
@nschuehly11 жыл бұрын
In one of your previous comments you said that Marx could not be blamed for what other people did. Then you cannot blame Friedman for other people's actions neither. He was no businessman and he was no politician. He was a theoretician like Marx. Actual politics based on Marx have failed even more. My guess is that actual people are not the multiple reproduction of one character and therefore Marx's theories had to fail. If Friedman's failed, then because of the imperfection of human beings.
