This is how to start church. I prefer this over praise teams.

OOOOOOOOH LORD ME TOO,,,,bc praise teams got too much competition, no spirit, a showcase,,,CHILE give me this these days,,sorry young people and new age folk dont want this kind of church, but one thing these saints have is the Sound aint fake and hiding behind music and organs,,, they make their own sound ,,,,,,,,,IM TIRED OF NEW AGE CHURCH,,, Its a big showcase

I'm white and my dad was a preacher that preached in Baptist and Church of God In Christ churches while we were growing up. The pastors of the COGIC church were like parents tk my dad because when he was born again his parents disowned him. (Eventually his while family came to the Lord and his two brothers are both preachers too!) This is what we were used to for church and these deacons would literally pray the power of God down! I loved Deacon West because he was a true example if a Christian man. He couldn't sing a note on key UNTIL he would start praying. I played the piano and organ for services and he would always pray in Bflat. I miss those days because we were such a church family and there was absolutely no difference between us in our hearts. Sweet memories.

Amen. As I have become older my preference as well. I don’t see why we can’t have both. The old ways are steeped in tradition giving us roots to our ancestors of past and the not so distant past. Praising the Lord is what we need to do. The Lord has brought our people through more than most young people will ever know. I am blessed to have been born in a time when I was able to live in a time between two worlds and now a third one. Thank you Jesus!!
