yep! apparently the songs were originally supposed to be in something like F# on a 6 string like they were on the impaled demo but the studio couldn’t handle recording that low, so C was the compromise haha

I’m guessing that the low b sounding chords are an inverted powerchord on the first fret of the second and third strings, with that much distortion it can give the illusion of the root note an octave lower
