Dewalt 12V Cordless Drill Restoration Video
In this video I restored a Dewalt DW90 12v drill that I got from japan recycle shop only 15$. I need to buy new battery case 2$, 12V20A MBS 2$, 6 cells of18650 li-ion battery 16$. I totally spent 35$ for this project. After the restoration, I used it for a while, it works very well.

And now in 2021 dewalt and most other tool companies still use "metal gears"..... but I'm not sure did the metal quality is still good as the old one.

I believe you'll have to make them yourself. I doubt a company like dewalt would send out stickers with serial numbers on them. Would open up for some sketchy pirating business

How does the gasoline help when cleaning parts with the ultrasonic device? Does gas have something in it that’s abrasive?

B- and B+ cables should be a lot thicker, as they put through full amperage when you use the tool. All other, intermediate, cables are ok.

I believe those cells are fake. Real VTC6 cell has a third line which says Murata INR19/66. If you have a cell with no manufacturers name, its a fake. and major brands don't pack cells individually in cardboard boxes.

I have seen videos of those cells when people removes the sticker and it dosn't say Murata, Samsung etc.. But hey if you want your drill to explode or house to burn down then go ahead. :D I trust only real cell in high drain devices like powertools.

I'm back. For my job, warm soapy water with a wire brush and toothbrush did the trick. And some fine sandpaper in a few places to smooth over some dings.
