All I have to say is swap tht head out with the echo head (looks extremely similar to the one on the trimmer, but it’ll built way better). The OE head seems to have a lot of problems

I've heard of that from US markets, but in european market that hasn't been a problem nor has it been for me, 4 years running the stock trimmer head and still feeds nicely. I guess they make them better for outside US market?

Iv had the same one for 2 years now.. Would NOT buy it again.. Very unbalanced and too short.

I did not like this unit. Too heavy and not well balanced. The weight might not have been an issue if it was balanced. Returned to Home Depot.

Don't buy ! Junk! Mine stopped working less than 1 year old, and cannot be fixed. Who makes it for DeWalt ? I say : Fisher-Price!!

I've had mine (18V, European) for 4 summers now and kicking as strong as i first bought it. Going through thick weed as well every summer. What I've witnessed is this: as the motor is on the trimmer head and therefore air inlets for the cooling in consequence are too, the air inlets get blocked by the grass/weed clippings alot and block the cooling -> kills the motor. If you clean it properly from Time to time, there is no problem. I've also sold these, so I've seen these die due to people not cleaning the air inlets and complain for their own lack of awareness, you would clean any other machine's air inlets too, why not the trimmer? But for negatives, the balance is off and can't be offset even with a 3.0/9.0Ah 54V flexvolt battery, otherwise it has been a long running and powerful trimmer and I've been Happy with it.

@@Carking97 Less than 3 months old, it stopped working. Go buy a Stihl, I did !!!
