DeWALT 3 Piece Nail Set Review

These are ergonomic and do offer a better grip but if you use them a lot it is difficult to file the head after it get burs from use and they roll around a lot because they do not have flats. the color codes could be easier to see as well.

Spot on- I hate anything with Asian Rubber now, for the last decade it seems so many of my tooling with "comfort" grip asian rubber is deteriorating and getting sticky and failing. Not to mention being a magnet for dirt and grime. =D

That is so true but then it flips the other way if you get non rubber grip Asian products not all of it's made to high standards and will wear out extremely fast or break that's why I try to buy things that are balanced if I can't get American made pay a little bit more of a premium sometimes the quality control is there if you don't mind disposable tools then you can go with the stuff that disintegrates or fails fast

Wow, Catus! I don't use them often but the "modern" ones seem a bit of overkill. Most older ones that I come across have tip damage, so kind of a disposeable tool.

I have the same set. I use them to mark set of master and grand master keys. They do well for not their intended purposes.

I used my yellow color DeWalt nail setter and the grip part came off and barely hangs on

Don't want you to make the whole top piece with the striking end is one solid color down to the black and I would have made it easier to determine which color is which

We Used a 16 Duplex in Concrete Form Work. To counter sink the head of the nail. When finishing the the form to reveal the product when it's exposed. When we feel the 16 duplex bend in our hand we put it back in our pouches and use it somewhere else or throw it on the ground on a job site a and Grab another Duplex and keep going down the line. ...Some folks have this tool in the Commercial work field and others just use a Nail.

so this is not for punching hole for drilling in to metal i when to home depot to get a punch for drilling in to metal and i though this was the kind the work like push pen but it like the one u show here but the top is yellow not red or black did i get the wrong thing

Yes you need something that's a sharp point these have a small divid in the and for pushing in trim nails to get them below the service second paint over them and it will look smooth

DeWalt ones are far superior. They are bigger so easier to use. Less chance of smashing your fingers all to hell

Nobody's really using a nail set anymore just use a Pneumatic (or cordless)16-gauge for finish nailing and set them all deep no need to go back with a nail set
