Thank you. I'm old school and still prefer to use spades in a drill; it just feels smoother to use. I like how you held the tool keeping your hands clear of the ventilation holes. Keep up the good work. Love to see the show down against M12 Fuel kit.

Hi Milton, Glad you had the chance to show off the new 2019 DeWalt 12v drill and impact to all of us. I have to say, this is their first generation after 8 yrs. If it does well in sells then there will be improvement for the second gen. I just hope it doesn't take dewalt another 8 yrs to do it, LOL... let us all know if you hear or see any higher ah batteries for the new 12v line tool, example (4.0ah or 6.0ah). If you have time maybe compare it with another 12v line tool. Or show a difference in power between the older model (brush) but using the new 3.0ah battery. See if that 3.0ah makes a difference in the older model. Yes, nice to see it go against a 18v but as you said not fair due to the different battery size (12v vs 18v). Improvements: 1. Drill - would have be nice to have hammer drill feature. 2. Impact - precision mode needs to work in wood and metal. Again instructions only mention wood. 3. Batteries - 12v needs (4.0ah and 6.0ah) Thanks for the videos.

Hi Milton.Ive just timed the impacts going through the hard timber and I thought I'd let you know the 18v milwaukee took 56 seconds the new dewalt took 72 seconds but you did say maybe the battery could have done with charging and the dewalt 18v did it in 54 seconds which is'nt bad as the Milwaukee had the biggest battery.All the best

Excellent review, thanks! Looks like the "Precision Drive mode" works just like in DCF887. I have no words to express all of my rage and hate about the pause when the chuck stops spinning, then sleeping for a while (WHY?! WHAT FOR?!) and then starts hammering. Cause of that I ruined a lot of workpieces, cause I could never got stable and repeatable result. Absolutely useless and infuriating mode!!!

Hi Milton. Speed 1 is for small screws,what gauge steel are you using because it looks 5-6mm. Also what battery have you got in the Milwaukee surge?? Great video.All the best.
@littlemilto65635 жыл бұрын
The battery is a standard 3AH battery from Milwaukee, the thickness of the gauge is 1.7mm

try to swap the dewalt impacts in your hands, a big difference is if you are right handed

Please compare to the Atomic set

I can't get the Atomics due to me being in the UK so it's a pain to get hold of.

Just a headsup..Dewalt isn't making the 12v line any longer..thats right, if you invested like i did, you are stuck, Dewalt is not extending the 12v line
