Your review saved me money and worry. I had already purchased this, was waiting on it and lumber and was having buyers remorse. I was worndering about using a compressor instead. I am doing my own house, and bought this for my roof. After seeing this I realized I can use it for my siding also, perfect. It looks great for me. My wife and I will be slower than a crew and without hoses and such that looks perfect. I will let you know how it does. I have 3800sq ft of roofing to do.

Great video bud! Editing is on point. Might grab one? One suggestion, I would personally pull the battery before clearing the jam. One of my guys Had a finish nailer fire on him once, he thought it was off and it popped one across the room. Needless to say we pull the battery out every time no matter what now. Have a great one!

I’m a roofer and I’m getting this for whole roof installs. Tired of hoses and air compressors. Hoses get tangled, stuck, not enough length, or worse which has happened to me, you accidentally step on it and fall. Just carry a few 5ah batteries and your good for the day.

I’m a roofer. Mine has not work consistently for my service repairs and small jobs. I’ve dropped it off twice for servicing at the Dewalt Repair Shop… maybe mine is just a dud. But the pin does not recoil back and constantly jams… very disappointing. I just picked it up again and hopefully it works as designed because the idea of this is great…
@Lugnutfilms3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! Did it do that from the beginning?
@justonpreble31193 жыл бұрын
@@Lugnutfilms Yes the 1st time I used it was to shingle a small shed for a customer. I ended up doing it by hand because I didn’t have a compressor or air gun on me. It kept jamming up. The the pin would have to be manually pushed back in. I tried it on another repair and it jammed with the 1st nail. So I put it back in the truck. When I had time I eventually dropped it off for servicing. After that I picked it up a few weeks later and didn’t get through even one coil and it jammed up again. Over and over so again packed it back in the truck and took it down for servicing. I just picked it up and have not officially used it on a repair yet. But I tested it on a 2x4 and some OSB and so far so good. But my other 5 guys at 1st wanted one and now it’s a wait and see moment… I’m the Guinea Pig…

At 6:20... The gun does not know what it is nailing into… So whether you’re nailing into studs or sheathing or cardboard it will use the same amount of energy to drive the nail in each application

can I use flat-head screws to replace a shingle? This nailer seems an overkill, and a hammer requires lifting up the shingle above too much and is otherwise less convenient.

Did you pull the black lever on the very top of the gun?
@erikgibson59963 жыл бұрын
@@Lugnutfilms yes pull the back lever. Tried placing screwdriver on the front safety while pulling the lever. Made sure was clear of any wire from the coils. Pretty much did everything I could without taking the thing apart. Try different batteries. When I press the trigger the solid light comes on and stays solid won't do nothing from there..

I purchased the same model and it sucked! It would shoot two nails at once, it would not shoot every 10 or twenty shots and it would also jam every twenty or so nails. I used the recommended dewalt nails correct size. A huge waste of time and money. First of the coil nails are a bad design, the gun is very heavy, and you will spend more time fixing it than using it.
