Ty mate for the twist step....I couldn't figure out how the heck to clip this into location. Seems like the dust port is super in the wrong position, but then you just spin it round. TY!!

Used this with the surface grinder handle and a cheap dust cyclone to strip layers of paint off old render...perfect .

Great demo of dust Stroud, dust in the lungs, not good, catches up with you when your older. lung cancer, asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and silicosis. Take precautions!

are you pressing down hard on the machine? I tried to use mine for the first time, never used an angle grinder before so seems like you have to put enough pressure on it so the shroud's bristles get pushed down enough for the blade to actually hit the concrete

that shroud can only be used properly with dewalt's own grinding cups, which screw directly onto the spindle and build out about 10 mm more than the standard cups everyone else uses and therefore is flush with the bristles (and will make contact with the concrete surface)

I got this and put it on my Dewalt corded angle grinder, it just seized up the grinder. Any idea what I am going wrong?

For this type of work you need powerful grinder, I managed some surface grinding on a 800W DeWalt grinder but it was heating up quickly and it's probably what killed it at the end. Now I use 1500W and that's doing much better, but for real surface grinding power, 2000W grinders are the real deal.

What nobody will tell you is that you have to be careful what blade you put on your tool when you want to use the shroud. Many won't fit, but of course, Dewalt will sell you a Dewalt branded blade for 3-4x the going price for a diamond blade.
