Yes it all in casted iron. There is just two dowb points, no dust collection and the bed tables are hard to adjust.

Great machine!I recently got one from an old woodworker in my town.I took it all apart to clean it and after putting it back together...couldn't remember one thing...which set of springs(strong set and soft set) for the feed mechanism goes on which roller (infeed - outfeed).Would appreciate that help :)

I've done the same thing. Didn't notice the difference until I started putting it together. I assumed strongest on outfeed but any advice would be gratefully received

Hi, I have one too. I stripped it down to replace broken parts. I didn't notice that there are two different roller springs. One set is stronger that the other, could you help by telling me the position of the stronger springs on your machine please? Thanks for your help

I just bouth dw 1161. Its the same machine. It have 2kw engine and have dust collection system! I like it a lot :)

Hi Piotr, I have the same machine, I didn't realise when I replaced the rollers that there are two different springs. One set is stronger than the other. How are these arranged on your machine? Are the stronger springs at the rear on the outfeed roller? Thanks for your help

It does but its a separate accessory that you could buy. I dont know if you can still buy it.

Doesn’t really show if the piece of timber has been jointed accurately to achieve two flat surfaces at right angles ready for the thicknesser.

Have you ever adjusted/replaced the planer blades? I have the same machine and im not sure how much they need to stick out.

Yes I already replaced them. I align from the blade bevel top line

Try the slowest first, that works fine for me

You need to find used ones, dewalt doesn't make those anymore.

No, the only way is to make a custom part for it.

@@ASousaMakesIt I have the same problem. I bought it used but it misses the part where link the dust pipe. I'm searching if there is a commercial part to buy but it's too old and the only possibility is to make by myself. If you find some alternative solution please share it with us :)
