The DCC2560 cuts the cord, weighing in at 21.5 lbs, and offering 135 PSI, and 1.2 SCFM @ 90 PSI output using its brushless motor.
Model number is DCC2560T1 for the one battery kit.
Thanks to DeWalt and Home Depot for providing a review sample.

I went back and did the math on the volume a 100' 3/8" air hose holds, and it's roughly a half gallon, which would add another 20% capacity to the tank volume.

Can it be connected to a 120v outlet? Can you do a test and see how long it will take to inflate 4 35” tires from 10psi?
@DoresoomReviews
@DoresoomReviews 5 жыл бұрын
DeWalt doesn't currently make a 120VAC adapter for the single FlexVolt battery tools, just ones that use double batteries like the miter saw. Sorry - I don't have any tires that big! It filled up 25" tires from 25 PSI to 35 PSI in about 15 seconds each though. I did 8 of those this weekend and the battery just barely dropped one bar. It will cycle on for each tire.

can this be used for more demanding air tools like a grinder, small sander, tire buffer? I mainly need it for a tire buffer that runs at 90 psi, so I would need to run it in 30-45 second intervals at a time with a few minutes downtime between each running session. Will this be able to do the trick? thanks
@DoresoomReviews
@DoresoomReviews 3 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. It's only 1.2 CFM without much storage capacity. For very short durations like you describe it might be possible though - I haven't tried it with anything more demanding than the framing nailer.

What I would like to know is how tough is the compressor itself. Usage like you were reviewing is more about the tank cappasity. If you tie it into a larger tank, you increase capacity, but can the compressor handle it?
@DoresoomReviews
@DoresoomReviews 6 жыл бұрын
Running it continuously is actually a decent test of what you want to know. A large tank can give a compressor a head start for demanding applications, or even allow it to keep up with intermittent sprints of heavy use. But it's SCFM output that determines if it can keep up in the long run or whether it can fill a large tank in a reasonable amount of time.

I found their fine print statement: "Using one DCB606 battery and a DEWALT® DWFP12233 Brad Nailer." So it is an 18 gauge nailer, used with a 6Ah battery in the compressor, but they don't specify nail length or operating pressure.

I did have a couple questions, actually. I need a compressor to top off tires on several vehicles. Would this be a good option? How would you rate it vs the Ridgid brushless compressor at that particular task?
@DoresoomReviews
@DoresoomReviews 6 жыл бұрын
I don't think I'd buy this just for topping off tires, but that's a great use for it if you're in the market for a portable compressor for other applications as well. If you're just looking for a portable tool to add a few PSI to tires, then I'd consider the Ryobi 18V inflator, the new Milwaukee M12 inflator, or if you're only in the DeWalt battery platform, consider waiting for the just announced DCC020IB inflator: www.dewalt.com/products/gear-and-equipment/air-compressors/20v-max-cordedcordless-air-inflator/dcc020ib I haven't used the Ridgid compressor myself, but the CFM and larger tank size of the FlexVolt will let you do things like run a framing nailer for small projects, which I don't think the Ridgid can do.
@1empyre1life
@1empyre1life 6 жыл бұрын
Doresoom Reviews I actually ran through two 1.5Ah Ryobi batteries today topping off tires with their inflator/deflator (which is awesome for home use), had to cool it down every 10 mins (same for the Miluakee), and still didn't finish the job. I was looking at the compressors for the heavier duty cycle paired with some high capacity batteries. Cost isn't the primary concern; volume, portability and reliability are high on the list. I appreciate the reply!

If someone has a full set of nailers, buying this will be a whole lot cheaper than replacing them with all cordless. Plus, pneumatic nailers are still more compact and lightweight than cordless nailers are currently. You also can't use a cordless nail gun to air up your tires, or the myriad of other things compressors are useful for other than running a nail gun.

Milwaukee is my preference for everything but use with a framing nailer. It performs awesome with a trim nailer and the quiet operation makes a huge difference. If you're really going to push it past trim nailing/inflation and use it regularly with a framing nailer, I'd pick DeWalt though.

This is rated for 135 max psi, the gauge just goes higher than the unit is capable of outputting. Just in case the pressure regulator fails, you'd want to know if you had more than 135 psi in the tank for safety reasons. What size of tires are you doing, and what Ah of battery? Is that only 32 psi on one tire? It should definitely do more than that.
