I’m 52. I’ve had Dewalt my whole life. Stay DeWalt Milwaukee is definitely a top brand, but I really believe in Dewalt it seems like they’re finally trying to up their game and I appreciate someone like you in their corner we need more DeWalt nuts
@ihiohoh27084 ай бұрын
I primarily use Milwaukee, and I agree. In real world practice between rough-ins and service calls there isn't realistically going to be any noticeable difference in performance in Dewalt or Milwaukee. To be honest, I like my 12v tools a lot except for rough-in. So the power isn't necessary most the time. Stick with what is economical and makes the most sense for you. Yes, Dewalt lied, but all of these companies are guilty of that.

Finally a tool KZbinr with common sense. Everything in this video is spot on. I use dewalt day in and day out and literally cannot abuse them anymore than I do and I have yet it 4 years have a tool fail me. My boss uses milwankee and we’ve already throwed a drill of his away and had another drills anti kickback stop working. I will forever be a dewalt user ! Love your stuff keep it up!

Im on the milwaukee and dewalt platforms. To me this dewalt 860 with the 1.7 powerstack is better then my gen 4 with 3.0 HO battery. For some reason the gen 4 hurts my wrist with the 3.0 batterry since it sticks out so far it ruins the balance so even though its slightly lighter its worse . The 860 with the small 1.7 powerstack is balanced and vibrates less and stays a little cooler. The ability to control the light is a bonus as well.use your impact all day in the heat, and turning off the let contributed to the tool staying cooler. The 1007 drill is a beast with the best clutch ive used on a hammer drill. And this is coming from someone who owns mostly milwaukee tools. Also the 870 is about to drop and its supposed to be a milwaukee surge killer, we will see

I feel exactly the same way. I just got the 860 and I love it. I've had the 891 and they're both monsters for what they're designed for. The power stack 1.7 is my favorite battery across all platforms.

There was only main reason why I bought my DeWalt 961 is because of nut busting especially on rusted nuts such as cars , big rigs, tractors , dozers , loader's. Most cases Milwaukee was always in front for nut busting and hard core drilling . Seldom DeWalt was king . The main craze for the impact wrenches was the reverse impact wrenching for nut releasing not so much driving.

Nice video, brother. I have older DeWalts and Milwaukees. I also have some makita, bosch, ridgid, etc. I know I'm gonna catch some flack when I say this, but right now my biggest platform is the Brushless 1+ from Ryobi. I use my tools daily. I haven't had any issues in the past 2 years, except for the 21° framing gun and it's "safety" features. The Ryobi isn't as comfortable in your hand, but I promise it keeps up on the job site. Huge platform and half the price. I've been considering another platform, and you're pushing towards DeWalt. The Milwaukee framing gun seems like the best one out there (that's the main thing that stopped me from DeWalt), and Ryobi is 2nd. The brad nailers, Ryobi is #1. Although my pneumatic DeWalt brad nailer destroys them all. PSA: can we please make batteries compatible with all tools and no adapters!! ALL of us use to buy the best tool for the job (regardless of brand) when everything was corded. Don't lie, you know you did too (unless you're under 30). Make all tools great again!
@ChristianElectrician4 ай бұрын
You're good with Milwaukee or Dewalt. When I worked with all the old timers at a City College as a student worker (years ago), they used corded tools, and just as you said, they bought the best tool for the job regardless of brand.

I switched back more to dewalt from makita when the powerstacks came out because I also got the right angle drill since makita didn't drop one yet and the milwaukee died alot on my boss and friend 18v hole hawgs up to 18v super hawg. Premature failures. Got the 891, 900, 850, 999 hammerdrill lol, Sawzall, oscillator, a skillsaw I need to change for right hand and some other random stuff. Still have a milwaukee framing nailer and bandsaw and makita bunch of stuff but I'll probably change them sooner or later since makita hasn't been competitive for shit and milwaukee is China sounds like. But I'll take my time and try to sell them to fund more yellow 😊

I agree with what us said about impact doing its job however dewalt is always late with technology such as auto shutoff on the drill or the hydraulic impact. Dewalt just last to implement these. I am still waiting for dewalt hydraulic impact dcf870. Should be out soon. Just kinda hard keep waiting for dewalt to catch up..
@ChristianElectrician4 ай бұрын
Milwaukee copied Dewalts tri beam light on the Impact with gen 4. They each play catch up in different ways. Milwaukee is just raw power. Dewalt is powerful but practical. Check this out. I have an atomic one hand recip saw. The Milwaukee one hand recip saw can't even stand up like the Dewalt, unless it has a 6ah battery. It's more powerful than dewalt, but Dewalt focused on the purpose of having an atomic one had recip saw. It can stand upright and fit in tiny spots. If I need a bigger recip saw I use my 2 handers that 60v or my deep cut band saw. They go back and forth. I like my American owned Dewalt company. Check out the new 5-in-1 DXL Modular Storage System from Dewalt, it's awesome. Literally just dominated the packout.

I have the DCF921 and the DCF961. Why? Because one's compact with the power of a mid torque, and the other is a mid torque with the all the torque a 1/2-inch socket will take. As a home garage guy, what else do you need? A next-gen Milwaukee stubby would also be fine, but then you'd need M12 and M18. Dewalt makes garden tools and basically everything you'd need as a homeowner is under the 20V architecture.

The Impact Driver is usually better for Milwaukee, bandsaw, hack zall, saw zall, and others. Milwaukee has alot of power in some of their tools where Dewalt focuses on practicality. However, Dewalts grinder, multi tool, impact wrenches, and carpentry tools are usually better. Milwaukee does produce more tools and leads in innovation, but Dewalt is right there too. Both are impressive.

I run dewalt. Working garage doors, cars, carpenter stuff and guns. All dewalt. Everyone at my works use Milwaukee cause the company hands them out.. expect for all the best techs we use dewalt. I’ve tried Milwaukee and they suck. I don’t get it. Every Milwaukee I’ve used turns off driving small 7/16s one inch self tappers in to 23 gauge sheet metal. Lagging torsion rod center brackets in which are 7/16 6” lags.. Milwaukee cannot drive them all the way. I just don’t see how these internet people rate Milwaukee so high. I’ve given Milwaukee a fair shake and for real pros that use this stuff everyday. Milwaukee can’t hang. Dewalt keep going, day after day, drop after drop and use after use without a change in performance. I think Milwaukee maybe performs good as a safe queen kinda tool that doesn’t actually get used that hard but with any serious use the performance dwindles fast
