Just used it this weekend. Amazingly quiet. Love it.

I still can't believe how quiet it is.

I love my Stealthsonic. It’s pleasantly quiet, has a bag for easy cleanup and has decent power. I use it a lot in conjunction with my DeWalt 10 gallon cyclone dust separator. Does great hooked to my jointer and planer. Great all-around vac.

I have it connected to my DeWalt dust separator too. It's a great combination.

Jim, for me, this is a timely review as I have been wanting to upgrade to this machine for awhile. Glad you're back and with a bit of flourish. The new technology is a bit expensive though, at over $225.00. Drive on, my friend. 👍
@TheWoodworkingCorner8 ай бұрын
I know, not exactly cheap. DeWalt does make a 9 Gallon version too. Price-wise a bit more manageable. Sound-wise, it was crazy to hear the difference. Haha, no comment about the 18-year-old-Jim? I was 60 lbs lighter back then.

225? I seen this at Lowe’s for 139, I’m waiting until they make a flexvolt version option though

@nicknick2730 wow, I just looked that up. Crazy the price differences

Looks like they lowered the price on a lot of their shop vacs: amzn.to/3XX6iFd

How'd you get the yellow hose with the 12 gallon?

lol, I don't know, it was sent to me that way.

On Dewalt website, people claim in reviews that the cord can overheat and start a fire
@TheWoodworkingCorner8 ай бұрын
Oh wow, I just went to their website to verify. You are correct that some customers have had electrical issues with it. I highly recommend that people keep a close eye on the plug and outlet. Thank you for your comment. I know I will keep a closer look at it.

@@TheWoodworkingCorner I wish I would’ve saw that before I bought one yesterday thinking about returning it going with something else. Maybe rigid they do have a lifetime warranty.
@TheWoodworkingCorner8 ай бұрын
I still have my old DeWalt shop vac, same size and all. I never had an issue with it. Can't be just the Stealthsonics, I would imagine it being all their shop vacs. I did see that at least their customer support people were reaching out to the customers.

Too bad there isn't a sound level meter application for a cell phone...

Hmmmm, that's something to look into.

Right? I was pleasantly surprised by the sound difference.

The Downfall of all these newer vacuums for the last 5 years or so they don't have a screw on hose. They got the dumb clip on hoses need to complain about those. The screw on hoses are much better.
@TheWoodworkingCorner2 ай бұрын
I guess I can recall many years ago with the screw-on hose. The clips never bothered me, I could pull the hose and the vac around without it coming off.
@jabojr51712 ай бұрын
Oh well, it wasn't that great, I'll take it off you hands for $50, lol, thank you for your comparison.
@TheWoodworkingCorner2 ай бұрын
Hmmm, thank you for commenting. I sold my old one and have kept the Stealthsonic. I'm still highly impressed with its lower sound output than a traditional shop vac.
